Title: Grip for a Dorado
Post by: Rock 'N Bow on June 28, 2013, 09:44:00 PM
I really like my Dorado except for the grip. It is just too small for me. Can anyone recommend a good replacement grip with a little more "meat" to it and a medium wrist position? I looked at a Hoyt Ergo grip and a Jager Best and Best 2.0. Any other suggestions?

Try some grip tape from 3 rivers. You can wrap and wrap until you get your desired circumference. It has help me on several of my bows.

I think I will give it a try. Certainly less costly than buying a new grip. Are you referring to the leather grip wrap?

It's called grip skin.

I also re-read your first post, and you where looking for a medium grip. Don't be scared to take a sanding pad on a 4" grinder to reshape your grip. A little poly-urathane, and some grip tape you'll feel like a new bow.

I've used a "tentacle wrap" before. Added quite a bit.
