One of our local doe's finally brought her fawn back to the yard to show him/her off yesterday. Mom was busy feeding on the salad, and baby was busy feeding on mom!

Pretty cool stuff!!
Great shots Ron!
Ron, you just made my day!

Not very manly to say...but those fawns are soooo cute! This one looks rather sturdy compared to our more leggy looking, orange, WI white-tail fawns.
The Circle of Life.

Seems blacktails with a single fawn rather than twins is the norm?
That's awesome, Ron! I've been trying to get photos like that for years!

Thanks guys, glad you appreciate the little guys like I do! The first photo shows a dogwood tree, it's been rubbed by bucks the last 2 years. A buck killed one of my apple trees last fall.

Thanks Jerry! We don't have a dog, so the wildife feels pretty comfortable in my yard as I do in their yard. We have an agreement! ;)
Great and rare pics. enjoyed thanks
Stocky little feller.

Great photos Ron.
I got some of a mule deer fawn this week with his mother. They had been attacked by a couger and he had a huge scar across his forehead and the cats teeth marks on the side of his throat. Did not get a hold on him high enough or low enough and bit through the side muscle. This was really amazing and must have been quite a story of how he got away. I can only assume that the mother kicked the cat off and stompped him. The baby was heavily spotted but had little tiny nubs. He was healing up really good but the doe looked kind of poor. I did not see any wounds on her though and she and the fawn were stuck like glue.
Thanks for showing those and God bless, Steve
Those are great photos!
 thx for sharing! great pic's!
