Title: Question on Dan Quillian Bow?
Post by: Bull Elk on June 26, 2013, 10:32:00 AM
I have what I think is a DQ Bamboo Hunter, that is fully factory camoflaged.  I would like to know for sure.  Should I remove the camo paint to take a look?  I can send em photos, but can't put them on this site.  Thanks for any help.  Jim

sounds like a great bow...why do you want to remove the camo?

Pretty much can quarantee it was done afterwards. In the shop a lot, never saw a camo bow of Dans, longbow or recurve unless it was camo taped or can sprayed home job...

I was a dealer for all of Dan's bows and never seen a "Factory Painted" bow. All came through with maple risers and black glass except for the Canebrake. Later, you could get clear glass on the Patriot.

I would remove the camo as I prefer the natural look of the bow. If it is DQ, it will probably be matt finished and really not need the camo. I am a bit out of the norm in that I just don't care for camo finish on my bows. Tried it and it just didn't turn my crank. If it is a Quillian, you havea goody in my opinion.
