Title: aluminum arrow question for my whip hs
Post by: cnorth on June 25, 2013, 02:33:00 AM
I am shooting a whip hs 46 @ 28. I draw 29. I would like to have about 29-29.5 on length. 3 shield cut at 5". Will be shooting 125 great head.. I have access to saw if needed. Should I try 2016 or 2018..thanks ahead for the input..

I shoot a similar setup with poundage and draw length on three different bows.  The 2018's at 29 1/2 with 125grain up front is a bit stiff for two of the three so 2016 will probably give you more tuning options.  If the whip is cut close to center you could get away with the 2018 but if you're going to be throwing money at a few arrows I'd play it safe and take the 2016's.  Hope this helps.

Go 2018.  You can always leave them a little long or add point weight, hard to make 2016s stiffer.

The 2018 might work, but I would bet the 2016 cut bop to 29.5 with a 125 gr head will be the bees knees.

2016 would be my starting point but as with most things YMMV
