a few pics of the bow on sale
i found a few thing about that bow sound nice to me!!
That's a very old bow...probably made in the early 60's. The Flame Hunters were not dyna-stressed so they don't have the same level of speed that the Spitfire has but they are, none the less, very stable and accurate bows. They shoot extremely well. You must use a dacron string on it, however.
thanks , the price (auction ) start at 125$
i'll keep a eyes on it ..
I purchased a 47# Flame Hunter years ago and called Mr. Grove after I received it. He told me he made all the limbs for Pearson Archery Flame Hunters but none of them were made with the prestress laminations. He said it took two people to unroll and control the prestressed laminations when mading a bow with them. I let someone shoot my Flame Hunter and he dry fired it breaking the upper limb. I gave it a friend who makes bows and he made two new limbs, stripped the handle and repainted it. His girl friend is still shooting it.
thanks
do you think it'll still usable ?? if i buy it , it's to use it not to put on the wall..
