I have fletched a few arrows with my Arizona Ez fletch with the RW 6* helical. Is anyone else using the fletcher to fletch feathers?
I don't notice hardly any(looks straight to the naked eye) helical at all. I have shot the arrows and i will say, they are not rotating very fast at all.
Anyone else having this problem?
Any solutions?
Thanks,
Daniel
I recently got the EZ Fletch Pro in the left helical, I've done a few arrows so far and I can see noticable helical on my arrows. They seem to fly well for me. Are you using right wing feathers? Good luck.
I had one years ago. For me it worked like doo doo so I switched to a Jo Jan Mono Fletcher and haven't been sorry. I even have 2 Jo Jan Multi Fletchers and can fletch a dozen arrows real fast.
You can get clamps for left and right helical or for straight fletch.
I've got a right wing, plenty of twist to me...
I love my EZ Fletch, I use it over my Blitz.
I have one and use it and it works great, I just wish they made one for 4 fletch as that is what I use mostly.
I have the Ariz EZ Fletch and love it...are you sure you bought one with the 8* offset and not a straight clamp version?
I had an EZ Fletch offset, it didn't put a consistent angle on all 3 feathers. My arrows wouldn't spin right, if at all.
I bought a JoJan multi and I love it, perfect every time.
I have one, and had the same problem(wasn't enough helical) for my liking....so....I put a aluminum arrow in it and heated it up with a butane torch and twisted it while it was soft, I don't recommend doing this unless you can afford to trash it , incase it doesnt workout just rite.
but it worked,...but I think your better off getting a fletching jig of some sorts.
that was years ago, but I still have it laying around here somewhere.
I have one and as far as I am concerned it puts all the helical on that one could need...I have a second one that only puts on one degree of offset and I would not hesitate to shoot broadheads with that configuration either...I shot a bear with that offset a couple of years ago, and got good arrow flight and penetration at 10 yards...I feel that an otherwise well tuned arrow really does not need a whole lot of help from the fletching...the point does the work and the arrow just goes along for the ride...I love the fact that I can take a finished arrow out of the fletching tools

You can use yours for 4 fletch... Look at there site for directions, it's pretty easy if I can do it.
It kind of sounds like you are using left wing feathers with the right helical tool all right...they have to match

I use my right helical with 4 and 5 inch fletching...getting good helical...arrows fly well.
Thanks Ben,
Just read it and it is simple. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
you know there is a difference between offset and helical jigs...and the AZ Easy Fletch is an offset model that puts the fletching at an offset angle in relation to shaft...it does not spiral along contour of shaft like a true helical setup.
I have no issues with my arrows flying great....as long as you use right wing feathers in a right wing ez fletch...for the right shaft material (carbon vs wood/aluminum) then it will work. If it is not then you are doing something wrong in the process.
Bought a LW, and it has plenty of helical. To me it fletches to far down the shaft. That's the reason I bought Bitz. God bless.
