Right now just want to concentrate on getting my aim and arrow flight correct. This will take some time to accomplish. I may ask some stupid questions on this site so I hope everyone can be understanding.

You'll not meet a kinder or more generous group of archers anywhere.  Spend some time exploring this site.  The knowledge here is endless.

An important principle: Forget about what it sounded like to shoot an arrow from your machine bow.  I have noticed that new shooters want the arrow to go as fast as the wheels send them. I am convinced the sound is more responsible for this than watching the flight of the arrow. The way the "release to target" sounds is burned into their mind. When this happens they tend to over compensate by drawing further or faster than they should. Or they draw just plain wrong-- they simply try too hard. This throws them all off. Get used to the sweet sound traditional archery.

Just want to say got my new bow yesterday. Bought a martin sabre recurve takedown with 40 pound limbs. Just got done putting an arrow rest on it and silencers. I did make a mistake when I purchased my case. It appears the Martin bow has a different riser and won't fit in the case.

I am looking to buy arrows. there are just so many to choose from. Want to buy those Carbon Express Heritage arrows. Anyone with a comment on a choice of arrow is greatly appreciated.

You can go to home forum click search and type in "arrow selection". Maybe this will help you in your arrow selection.

For some folks it is ridiculously addictive.  I have not shot my compound once in 3 years - my brother now has it on permanent loan.     :)   Read, practice, and good luck!
