Just a heads up. We had a brand new antelope target stolen at the howard hill shoot at the beginning of this month. If you happened to see it walk off, I'd like to know about it. Not the first item we have had stolen at a shoot, but probably the most obvious.
I would have posted earlier, but I've been gone to a shoot every weekend since and traveling in between.
thanks, bigjim
Sorry to hear that Jim. Even in our ranks there's some rotten apples.
That is sad, I hope the person that took it has a difficult time sleeping!
He should have trouble sleeping if he knows who he stole it from... :) Great to meet you and your wife at the Appling Archers shoot! P.S. David loves his Bear Magnum you sold him...won't stop talking about it.
In this economy, lets recognize that opportunity to make a buck can befall anyone, not just those who would use it personally or be registered at a shoot,ie, I'd hate to just assume that it was one of our own who'd perpetrate such a thing.
Alas, as trad becomes more popular, we recruit a broader cross section of society and such ills do befall our own ranks, too.
Lots of work goes into putting on a shoot, putting out targets, getting ranges ready, marking trails and the list goes on...to have meager profits, needed to sustain a group, snatched away by such thoughtlessness irks me no end!
If you catch the creep, maybe you can set him up as a target in place of the antelope. Bouncing a few blunts off his noggin might teach him what his momma couldn't.
aaarrrrgggg , hope it wanders back where it belongs , sorry to hear that such things happen to good folks . Drew
Terrible! I hope it finds its way back.
Unbelievable! I hope the target makes its way back to ya Jim, but we both know....
People can be unreal! I will NEVER understand what is going through someones mind to get them to do something like that. Pathetic!
The world is full of jack wagons.........mabey he will shoot all his arrows into its legs and :deadhorse: break them all...
Sorry to hear about this...
Some people. What goes around comes around.

Sorry to hear about your losses, Bigjim.
And, to the thief that took such a grave chance by committing such a cowardly act, and to quote a line from a person with a famous Mohawk hairstyle and not even comparable in size to the victim at hand, "I pity the fool" when caught.
Sorry to hear about that. Trad folks are generally very honest, so to hear about a theft is truly troubling. There is nobody lower than a thief.
Don't see many squirrels in traditional archery, but I guess there are a few. Jim, I hope you get the justice you deserve, and hope that thief gets what he deserves!
