I have owned a Kota Bow before but made the mistake and sold it (Prairie Fire Longbow). Each year I see the Finley's (Kota Bows) at the Coon Rapids shoot on fathers day weekend. I got to the booth looking to replace my long lost Prairie Fire longbow. I looked the table over and began shooting whatever bow I liked. I decided to shoot some recurves, when I shot this bow it was so quiet I could not believe it, I was kind of shocked. I returned the bow and took a five minute break to think - ha! Went back and grabbed it. This bow is a dream to carry after lugging my three piece take downs around the place, has the grip of my longbows - I think I better stop here. Great Bow - this medallion says it all! :bigsmyl:

Very nice! I really like the profile of those bows.
Best of luck with it.
Beautiful! I talked to Tim on the phone the nigh before he left for Coon Rapids. I was looking to buy a stock Killum and almost pulled the trigger on a 48#'er with Coco & Curly Maple...knowing if I didn't snag it, it probably wouldn't make the return trip from MN. With that said, what are the specs on yours? Is that the one I let get away? Might have to put in an order!

I did not take that coco one, he had two cocobolo, one 48 the other 52 I believe. Mine has the Arch of black onyx ( something black) and shedua, limbs are Olive Ash. The coco bows did not have the arch (he has photo's of the arch bows on his website, he will spice veneers as well, they are shown- really affordable for what you get)I'm sure some guys were going to call him as they talked to me the next day when I returned with my tuned arrows to shoot again. I have had Tim make me a bow before as well and the wait was not bad.
I bet you could get it if you call soon. I kid you not, super quiet. Mine is 47@28 and an absolute dream to pull-can you tell I like it!
Great looking bow!
Now that's what a hunting bow should look like! Absolutely gorgeous! I may have to check those bows out! Great 50's look!

When it fits you just know it.
Great find.
man, I LOVE that bow! I can guarantee I will buy one of those one day. I looked really hard at those before I ordered my RER Retro, and seeing these pics is making the wait for that one all the harder!
really nice wood combo!
Wow, I have always wanted to shoot one of these and this is clearly the best looking one I have ever seen. That might be a curve to pull a guy away from longbows!! Congrats on that find, very nice.
Nice looking bow !!!
Bill
one of the prettiest bows i've seen, the limbs are incredible!
He makes a good bow someday my girlfriend will have a killum. Widow
I've always loved that style of bow. Very nice.
God bless you all, Steve
I have a Kota Kill-um and it is a very well made bow that shoots great for me. Good luck with yours
I really like the looks of that bow. I have a Kota Prairie Swift recurve that I think is a very good performer. I have thought about ordering another Kota but which one? I was torn between the three piece longbow and his three piece recurve. Now, I have to add this model as well.
Tim had quite a selection of bows at the shoot.
I'll tell ya what, this man has some nice bows and his wood quality is unreal. I bet he had four or five killums in stock.
Real nice.
These shoot better than a lot of more expensive bows, and the craftsmanship is excellant. Greg
I bet you find you can switch back and forth between your Kanati and your Kill-um and they hit the same place. I really like mine, very smooth and quite.
Beautiful bow! I love a nice 50's style recurve.
I saw the Kota bows last year at the Rapids shoot and was really impressed with them...especially when I saw the price. Very good value in a very nicely made bow...congrats!
My lefty Killum.

Congrats, that is a great looking bow!
I am really enjoying this bow - even plan on spending time with it this fall in the woods. I have been shooting a 590 grain Surewood from it and seems to be working well.
I have also order another Kota bow, different style, to match this one - crazy huh?
Well see your predator in the classifieds before too long....

Tim makes a beautiful bow that is smooth to draw!
That's a sweet looking bow!
Great lookin bow!!
very pretty bow...I have been eyeballing the " prarie swift" he makes for quite some time...
Very nice bow...enjoy!
Very nice. I bought one last year (solid Black Ebony riser and Myrtle limb veneers) which I love to shoot. These are hidden treasures for sure.

As time goes on, I find myself torn between the Prairie Swift and Tim's new Voyager take down. Hopefully by the time he is ready to build it I will have figured it out.
