I just got my new Tall Tines from Brian Wessel. What a heart stopper (in more ways than one I hope). 60", 53#, Cocobolo and bocote on a finely checkered riser with myrtle burl in the limbs. I also had Kenn Paulson make me a beautiful set of scrolled brass bezels to dress up the limb bolts for an extra special degree of pure beauty. VERY classy..... and she shoots too! I will send some photos in a few minutes via Steve Osminski. Stay tuned. To say I am very pleased with this bow is an under statement.
Can't wait to see it. I kicking around getting one myself some day soon.
Looking forward to it Gene! I'm sure it will be a "Heart Stopper"
OK boys, I just walked in the door from work. Let me check in with the family and I will get Gene's photos up. I've got some nice TallTines, but I will say right now I am coveting this new one of Gene's.
Put me in the will Godfather
:D
I'm getting the popcorn!!!!
You better lynch mob she's a sweety...

Close up of the engraved bezels by "Stone Artist" Kenn Paulson. He may have to change his title to "Metal Artist!

Holy Shmoke batman!!!!!
WOW, what a beauty!!! good luck with it!!
Very nice bow and custom bezles. Maybe Gene should get the same color limb bolts.... just saying.
Holy Cow!!! :scared: :scared: Brian's wood supply never ceases to amaze me. He has some of the most figured woods I have ever seen. Nice bow Gene, congrats!
Also Gene great job on the pictures!

Yep, that is what I am ordering!
That is absolutely gorgeous!!!
Absolutely beautiful!!! Congrats, Gene!
Can you imagine building it...and then sending it away?
I guess if it had to go to somebody else, someone like a Wensel getting it would make it feel better.
Wow that had to be one of if not the best looking recurve I have ever seen. If you don't mind me asking what does he charge for a bow like that. Thanks

Nice rig, makes me want a fancy tines.
Wow Gene! That bow is a beauty, one of the best looking bows I've seen! Good luck making some Mojo for that sweet bow.
Holy Smokes what a looker!!
That is certainly a sweet bow. Two of my favorite woods. Hope u have a great season with her.
Now all you need is to hit with some camo paint( heard that's what ya do so the big deer don't see it ), and you'll be good. Glad you got pics before the paint, it's a beauty!!!!
She's a beauty Gene.
INCREDIBLE. Some deer is going to be lucky to be had by this one.
Very nice indeed!
holy smokes that is beautiful
I love that orange Coco.
Great looking bow Gene !!!Congrats :clapper:
Bill
You held back on the description, and no doubt it's even better in person. Gorgeous Bow!
very nice, keep it in a bow sock, it will save that nice color on the cocobolo. LF
WOW
That is beautiful..
WOW that is very nice!
SWEEEET!!!!
Simply beautiful.
Very nice! I never tire of looking at beautiful custom bows.
What a work of art! That will look good propped up against the side of Woody's rival! Nice Gene!
Dang!!! that's a good looking bow. I see TT is making a longbow now, has anyone shot one?
Ouch,
Bet that cost a pretty penny.Very nice bow!
:scared: Everytime I think Brian can't possibly make one prettier than than the last he proves me wrong.
wow, that could be hanging from the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel.
Brian is once again pumping out one beautiful creation after another.

Stephen,
I posted this earlier but take a look here:
TallTines Pricing (http://www.talltinesarchery.com/pricing.html)
I find Brian's prices to be
very fair. His upcharges for exotics are the best values in new bow buying anywhere for what you get for your money IMO.
The best thing about the TT's are you don't have to give up ANY performance to have a beautiful bow. Function first and foremost with the TT
Nice bow Gene don't let Biggie Hoffman near it he might stretch it!
Wow!!! What a looker. Eye candy for sure. Best of luck with it. I am sure there are several deer (and other critters) that are going to be taken with it in the near future.
Thanks guys. Several people have asked if I plan on hunting with it. Absolutely. I suspect the riser might darken with age but that's fine with me. I'm not going to keep it out of the sunlight. Also, several people have commented that the limb bolts are two different colors. They are identical and apparently look different dependent upon how the light hits them in photos.

Mike, I have a 3pc TallTines longbow...they are every bit as good as the recurves.
I brought up an old thread for you with a bunch of photos.
Allso, I found out yesterday that his hybrid limb is ready for production. It fits the current longbow riser and he is very impressed with the final version.
Beautiful bow Gene. How much were the bezels?
My eyes are hurting and my jaw has dropped to my chest. What a beauty!!!
Me like!

:bigsmyl: You just made my Friday Steve
Sweet! Definitely like the riser woods. Cool looking bow!
Gene, I didn't realize you were into heavy metal! That kind of heavy metal sings true in my mind also. Very nice combo!
Thanks for the info Steve, as usual, I'am about two years behind everyone else. I'll check out the TT site and see if the hybrid limbs will fit on a longbow riser. Look what you started Gene. :)
Steve any pics of the hybrid limbs?
Working on it Dave. Sounds like everybody gave it a good run up at bear camp so there should be more input and pics from there. Brian is working on getting some specific pics too.

My Tall Tines is the only longbow I shoot. I have had it a little over a year now, and couldnt even imagine the performance increase from the new Hybrid limbs.
Kenn's limb bolts are $100 a set, which is very fair considering he has several hours of engraving into each one. I'm sure he will adjust his price accordingly if anyone wants more than one set. He is always thinking of new designs and options (color, brass, anodized brown, aluminum, oak leaves, scrolling, etc.)
Boy that thing is pimped out.....cool
Beautiful bow! The engraved bezels give a nice elegant touch...
It's gonna be hard to pick a spot on your next buck when you can't stop looking at your bow Uncle Gene!

Very true Jon. :notworthy:
I'd be worried of scratching it by accident in the woods. : :scared: :scared: What a beauty!!
Gene,I have not seen you listed for ETAR this year(Denton Hill). Will you, and Mr B, B attending?
Wow! Just beautiful.
STUNNING!!  :bigsmyl:
Put me down first on the buy list (lol)
Beautiful bow and bezels
OK Gene. I can't remember whether it was you or your evil twin who threw the TT at the hog down in Texas. Either way, if that is a possibility, just send the bow to me and send me a bill. That bow needs to be in a museum not a texas cowpie pile.
Yeah call me a jealous b****rd.I do love it.
Awesome! Where can I get me some washers/bezels like those ones? I reckon they would make the ol' Stalker fine indeed.
Scott, contact Kenn Paulson. Here is more of his work:

I WANT ONE.
Wow what a bow!!!!!!!!
Eye Popper!!! Heart Stopper!!!! Jaw Dropper!!!!
The grain in that Cocobola is insane. I saw it before it was finished the day I tried to burn Brian's shop down. Even before it was sanded you could tell it was gonna be very special.
Great job Gene and Brian
Trap
In a word - Stunning !
Looking forward to seeing it draped over a deer this fall.

Yeah great bow but can you kill anything with it??
:goldtooth: :biglaugh:
That is some serious beauty right there. I love it.
No such thing as a bow to beautiful to take to the woods or field. Thats like saying ur girlfriend or wife is too pretty to take to the woods:)
WOW
That is absolutely stunning all the way around!
-Jay
Very, very nice! Great choice of woods!
Bernie Bjorklund
NC Iowa/SW Wisconsin
Pretty fancy! Nice bow Gene! I have news though, deer dont stop to look at the beauty. So that ploy to have an advantage wont work. ;)
I wonder how many phone calls Brian will be getting after posting this beauty?? LOL! Nice bow Gene!! Incredible craftsmanship Brian!!
I already called and emailed lol!
It got my attention.....not ready yet, but I will be!!

Thanks, that answered my question of "do they make a longbow like that?" That is an amazing bow, I am not sure I could crawl around in the woods with it though. I might want to put it on the wall with other family heirlooms.
Nah, I would want to kill something with it.
Sweet bow
Sure is hard not to think about having a Tall Tines after seeing this beauty. I have wanted a 3 piece longbow for a long time and Wes Wallace doesn't offer one. Hmmm,
I would love to shoot the new limbs...Brian was pretty happy how they came out.
George
That is crazy beautiful makes me jealous. Widow
Mike, thanks for linking this up from the other TallTines thread. Gene has killed a coyote and an early season doe with that TT.
Here are a few of the bucks he has passed up this season, all under 20 yards.

Awesome looking stick!
Bisch
Those big Iowa bucks should be lining up to get shot with that bow. That's a looker, for sure.
SWEEEEEET!!!!
Man what a beautiful bow. Brian knows his stuff/bows.
Tony
Stunning work of art, all it needs now is a nice coat of olive drab camo paint lol
Gene killed a great buck this morning with this TallTines. It has aged beautifully.

That's awesome!
Congrats Gene!
That's a bruiser!
Congratulations!
:campfire:
Put it to work! Beautiful bow and great deer! Can't wait to hear the story.
:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
I thought he meant I have aged beautifully! Ha!
I think he did Gene! Great buck and that bow is awesome too!
Bernie
Nice buck, tough limb tips too I hear.

Hah...
you, Gene, and Barry are great for showing Wessel what abuse his bows can take.
Gene missed a bigger buck Saturday when he
WHACKED the lower limb of his TT off his ladder stand brace at release. They will take some abuse!
Excellent harvest, bow and bowyer.
Way to go Gene! Seems like I heard somewhere that "Things are ready to blow wide open here now" and I guess they did!
Nicely done Gene, I've been loving those Tall Tines myself!!
That's one of the nicest combos I've seen :archer:
That's one beautiful bow, definitely functional art there. It looks like it shoots very well too, congratulations Gene!
-Jay
That has to be Gene's lucky jacket, I've seen it behind a lot of big dead bucks
Beautiful buck and bow. Congratulations.
Wow,what a beautiful bow!
Beautiful!
Congrats
That is some beautiful wood. Great looking bow.
How could you ever bang that piece of art around in the wood?!! :)
Yeah, she's a beauty! Congrats!
It's a fine work of art Gene. Brian sure owns his craft.
The great things about traditional bows is the history behind them and the history ahead of them.
There's the history of the trees and the places they grew.
The history of the men involved in harvesting, handling, selecting, blending, sculpting and finally bringing to life this kind of functional artwork.
And finally there's history made up of memories created by the men that hunt with these bows and pass them on to others.
Time to get busy making some hunting history with this beauty.
Oops......no offense ladies. I use the term men a bit much sometimes....
