So I came across this photo on the web:

How rare are the longbow limbs!?! If they sold the TD with these I would have bought one ages ago!
If originals are hard to find, you think Rose Oak or somebody else would make em/ does make em???!!
Edit: ok I guess they only made em one year and they are super rare and shootability was questionable? Hmm, guess if a bowyer made some it'd be an expensive one off. But how cool would it be to have a Bear Takedown Hill bow!!?!
I have no personal experience with LB limbs on the Bear TD, but have heard and read that performance was abysmal. :dunno:
...and if you ask me about how it looks... :p
Lol, I don't think it looks bad at all, but then again I think Zippers look great too, lots of guys don't like those.
If Rose Oak or Black Creek or somebody made LB limbs for the Bear I'd totally be on board.
A friend of mine had some back when Bear first came out with them--they were dogs! Slow--really put the "arch" into archery. It's no wonder they didn't last long. And I agree with Blackhawk on the looks thing!
I also have heard that these limbs were dogs.
Hey Bryan! Glad to see you on TG. I'll be sure not to go looking for originals then if I ever get a Bear TD.
I had a set. I love Bear bows and this is hard for me to say, but, they were the worst limbs I ever shot. If you want a set as to collect, great. If you want something to shoot, buy anything else.
Chuck, are we going to be seeing you come August?
So far, its looking good
