Ok never used paypal before so went to try it following the directions and not sure where or how to reference "tradgang".
Also it says I must pay a fee if I use my bank debit/credit card.
am I doing something wrong?
Instructions are on the bid forums.
I cut and pasted.
Or you can pay via Paypal.com Click on the link and log in or register then click on "Send Money" enter PayPal@stjude.org in the "pay to" space, be sure to reference "Trad Gang St Jude Auction" then just follow the instructions. When making you payment you can choose goods, services under purchase and under personal if you select gift you don't have to pay the 3%.
Please give us all the info from your particular auction, reference Trad Gang ST Jude Auction, item, donor, both your name and TG handle . With a few hundred items it gets real confusing for this ol country boy.
I always send a check so I'm not sure how its set up....if you have trouble understanding what is written in the How The Auction Works thread stickied to the top of every bid forum...contact Doug Campbell.....
The info is under the section....'After the auction.'
What Danny said, if you've got any specific ?s I'll try and help. Thanks for helping out!
Ok found out what I did wrong.
i'll post it just in case someone else does the same.
After entering who to send it to it then gives option of sending to friends and family or buying something. Click buying something, this saves you from getting charge any other fees. Then on the final page it allows you to enter the info to reference st Judes in the message comment.
I was able to pay okay with PayPal, but never could find the 'Gift' part, so I just added some money to cover any charges.
Yeah I never found the "gift" part either.
Different question, sort of. If I send payment to paypal@stjude.org, how do you moderators at Tradgang know I sent payment. There is no where to have a payment notification sent to you.
Thanks.
Tom
There no longer is a "gift" part-now you need to use the "Send money to friends and family". There is no fee if the money comes direct from your checking account.
If you use the "Send money for goods and services" then St Judes is charged 3% of which you should add that amount to your purchase so the KIDS get all of your bid.
I also have a paypal question. When I sent my payment in to paypal@stjude.org, my email receipt said alsac/st.jude children's research hospital not paypal@stjude.org. Is this right or did I have a senior moment and goofed.
Thanks,
Bob T.

Need an answer to this also since I paid for my winning June 1 auction yesterday via PayPal. Need to pay for two more today but will wait till I know it was done correctly? I followed all the instructions to the letter.
Thanks, Kelly
Bob, you did right, that is how it reads out.
Just be sure to enter Trad Gang St. Jude Auction in the message box and Doug has a system for verifying payment.
Thanks Fletcher. I always have a hard time pushing the "I believe button" when it comes to making a payment over the internet. Especially when the payment is as important as St Jude.
Tom
Thanks Fletcher, Now I feel better.
Bob
They always seem to be changing little things (and i forget from year to year) but it always seems to work out OK. Been using PayPal for years (for various things) and never had a problem yet (knock on wood - LOL)
These general Q & A threads about PayPal here at TG always help jog my memory :D
question.... i just paid PayPal...now what? thanks
Doug said in another post that it will probably be Tuesday before he gets the first report from PayPal posted as payments on the forums. You can go ahead and contact the seller and exchange contact information while you are waiting.
Another question, can I pay PP in one lump sum for numerous winning bids? I plan to pay Friday after work and was wondering as long as I list the items I'm paying for is that okay or will it confuse things too much? Thanks.
Thanks Gregg.
I edited out my content
