Adeeden: That's something to be proud of, he's on the right track. And your neice too. Jacey's just made varsity cheerleader and not into hunting like brothers but loves to shoot. Three Finger: He looks like a natural, kinda intense . If your daughter is anything like mine wants to shoot not to be outdone but then she took a liking to it, very much so!!! Pukwana: great picture also, I love to see kids doing anything with archery hunting or not!!!
My 9 year old daughter,"Beans",loves to shoot her longbow.

I took my son Jase out to shoot some 3D yesterday. We had a great time! His favorite part of the outing was the elevated stand running deer target. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics of that.

And at 11 years old he is a very good shot out to 18 yards. With a 25 inch draw shooting around 48lbs.Proud of him looking forward to this season don't see myself hunting much this year going to live threw his hunting. We shot tonight and he was rocking the target. With his new Hoots bow he is deadly.
When I asked my good friend Bo Hunter Turner (Joel's son) at the time he was 4 yrs old, when he started shooting, he looked me straight in the eye and said " I didn't start shooting seriously until I was 18 months old"
I have a little while to wait yet....

Here are some pictures of my two great-nephews.
My nephew Dan and his wife adopted Maja from Etheopia two years ago. He loves to go to bow shoots and to go hunting with his Dad.

My nephew Dave (dhermon85) has this 2 1/2 year old. He was born with a heart defect that has required him to have 2 open heart surgeries so far and has a couple more ahead of him.

I can't wait to share a hunt with each of them.
These sorts of threads always make me smile. I've spent a lot of time away from home at college this year, 1200 miles from my bows and arrows and the shoots. I love seeing kids get into it like I did not that long ago. Just wanted to share a story about kids shooting. A few years ago I was at a shoot, and there was a father and son duo in the group right in front of us on the course. Son was about 16 or 17. Came up behind them on about a 35 yard shot at a standing bear as the son was shooting, last of the group, and watched him Robin Hood his dad's arrow right in the middle of the kill zone. The look on his dad's face was to die for, I don't think he even minded losing the arrow. Keep them shooting. My generation needs all the archers we can get
Hey, I know those little boys! Thanks for bragging Uncle Glenn. I'm still workin on his form ! Lol
