I just joined a primitive weapons hunt club in SW Georgia and am looking for a vendor of current aerial maps. Looked around on the web but thought I'd see if anyone here has a good resource. Thanks for the help!

USGS.gov sells anything you might want
Apex Mapping in Baton Rouge, LA. will probably have what you want. They have VERY up to date maps and do A LOT of hunting lease maps. They will outline boundaries, place trails and stands on the land etc. Below is the link

I usually custom order my maps (topo & aerial) from mytopo.com
Go to your local FSA office. They have the maps and copies can be purchased.
Thanks for the responses. Looking forward to hunting some pretty country. May be time to finally invest in a GPS.
i get mine at the local county clerks office for a samll fee
Go to your county office complex. They should have all the tools you will need to get what you want. When I get a new area, i go and get a 3'x4' aerial photo of the area.
I always use google earth to scout ground out west. Gives you a good idea of the lay of the land.

You can make and print your own for free.
+1 to Mytopo.com
mytopo works for me too................
First thing, call the county the land resides in. Many local governments use GIS systems to track all sorts of things and pay to have their counties flown and photographed periodically.
Best thing is that the resulting map data is public record and yours for the price of printing. If you can accept a digital copy, the cost is often zero.
Thanks again for the help. Should be able to find what I need with one of these.
Mytopo is a great option. USGS is a valuable resource as well.

I have bought maps from Apex as well and they are outstanding. Jason with Apex will work with you to get exactly what you want.
Google Satellite view and a printer.
Bing maps birds eye view and printer ....
Google maps satellite with printer as mentioned
If we're talking big country or especially wilderness areas, I usually printh the aerial maps myself and then buy a topo grom USGS and just makes notes onto the topo.
I agree the best is ArcGIS.com You can add verbiage to them and trails and wind directions and print them off in photo or topo formats or land structure. Great "free" stuff.
Mytopo.com is having a 20% off sale right now. Use code Aerial2012 on checkout. They have always done me right.
The best thing about ESRI's ArcGIS and Google Earth is their updating frequency as a rule far exceeds that of most municipalities. For where I'm at Google Earth is 2011. Ironically we have a fly-over from 2012 in house, but this is the exception and far from the rule.
At the rate that agricultural and wooded lots are becoming subdivided it pays to have the most updated aerials.
