I finally broke down and ordered a new shooting glove. I had two gloves that I would rotate and misplaced both(one is on the ground somewhere at my property).
One of them I had used so much my finger showed through the leather stalls. It had pig, gar, and raccoon blood stains, too.
Post a pic of your current shooting glove and or tab. I'm going to try and find my old glove and I will post a pic if I do.

My favorite glove finally bit the dust after years of shooting after last season. It was a cordovan tipped Super Glove that I had for about 8 years. The tips were in good shape but the leather on the fingers was worn to thin holey strips and was barely held together. I had re sewn and glued that glove up many times. I cut the tips off and saved em. I might be able to use em at arrow rests and side plates when I run out of seal skin. No pictures. It retired peacefully.
I stopped using the Berlin Deer Skin gloves about 5 yrs ago. The finger tips wouldn't last a month, just poor quality IMO.
I switched over to the Damascus glove and haven't looked back. Tips are thinner but they seem to last with all the shooting I do.
The BW stick tite glove has turned into my favorite. I've got a few years on my current one and it feels like it did after just breaking it in. I'm ordering a new one in a matter of minutes just to have a spare.
I have several martin deer skin shooting gloves in a drawer...lasted about a month a piece and I didn't care for the natural color leather. I love the dark color of the BW gloves.
I have to check out that BW glove.
I'm hoping I can find one of my old shooting gloves this weekend. They both really held up well considering how much I shoot and hunt.
I bought a Bear Paw glove, I like it so far. I need to get it dirty and hopefully bloody this weekend, it's too new looking.
Mine are two layers and I use them until the second layer blows out at the tip.
When I get a new one I melt candle wax into the leather surface that makes contact w/string. Makes it smoother and somewhat stiffer which I think helps the release.
I use the American leathers Big shot elk hide glove. It seems to last a long time, is extremely well built, doesn't take a set in groove at all, and it gives me a very smooth release. I bought mine about 8 months ago and it still works like brand new.
Jim,
I'll second the kudos for the American Leathers Big Shot - when I used to shoot a glove. Couldn't wear it out and the nylon covered tips were very slick.
Best regards,
Todd

New Dura glove just received! This one lasted about 3 years.
I just use Black Widow tabs. Have more than 4,000 shots on a 3-under and it simply shows no sign of wear.
I have at least six of the black widow 3 under tabs. At any given time I know where about 3 of them are. I stash one in my big pack, one in my day pack, one in a coat pocket, one or two in hip quiver.
This has been with me since 2001. Finger hole is getting a bit out of shape now. I guess it's about time for a replacement?

No pic, but I have two angle tabs I have shot for 5 and 6 years. I will get at least that many more out of them easily. The best tabs I have ever shot. Shawn
How's this old and new Allen gloves.
I bought a Bear Paw glove that is much heavier duty than the Allen. The Allen will be (http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn66/tarponnut/glove.jpg) (http://s301.photobucket.com/user/tarponnut/media/glove.jpg.html) a backup.
