I shoot 46 lbs and was curious to know what weight y'all have up front--broadhead and insert included? I'm currently shooting 125 gr with 100 gr brass insert, but am considering trying something different.
I shoot 145-175 grains. With that weight bow and recommended arrow spine at my 28" draw it's puts me right in the ballpark of 9-10 gpp. I feel it's a good balance and also gives a bit more weight forward.
125+50g insert
175 gr field point and 175 gr broadhead
125 + 100 inserts
165 to 175 with my recurve, 200 with my longbow
This works for me!
175-300 GRAINS
killed a Black Buck yesterday with a 425 grain Tuff Broadhead out of a 44# passaround Longbow.

You need to know what the centershot is too if you just want to copy what works for others.
180-230 grs.
125gr on a 29.5" 1916; no problem.....
I just got a new 45# Black Widow PTF a few days and it's spitting out MFX 400's with 240grs up front really good. That's the weight with the Simmons Tree Sharks.
175 with my 1535s!
I do all I can to avoid the brass insert and just use the heavier heads. 3555 tend to be too stiff so I err toward 600 spine. Seem to be the ticket
300
I like whatever makes my arrows fly best. I shoot 51-54#s and more and 175-225 up front. If I went to 45#s with the same arrows I would need 275-350 up front! Shawn
145gr on a 29.5" 1535s & ultralight 600s. Shooting 44# recurve. Have a 27.5" draw.
I just got a RER Vortex, 43# @ 28"-64_ long, I draw 29". I just shot some 2117 Alum. 30" long a 200gr field point up front and they flew like darts. They also weigh 650gr and really rock the 3-D target!
Used 332 gns up front(543 gn total) this past turkey season with a 45#'r.
145 and 100grn insert...just like you.
175 gr tree sharks for a flatter trajectory while elk hunting.
125+75 grn inserts out of 42#
Started out in the sixties shooting woodies with 125 grain points, and they still work today. With my light carbons 145.
Legacy 2018's at 30.25" with 125 grain points out of a 45# recurve - draw 29".
I know that Bob Morrison shoots 44# @ 26" and has 300 grains up front. My wife shoots 44# @26" and she has 200 grains up front.
