I see lots of posts on some great looking bows and yes! Great bows are sweet indeed, but for some of our new comers let us not forget to over emphasize the importance of a razor sharp head and a properly tuned shaft, for that is what truly gets the job done cleanly and efficiently, no matter what bow propels it.
The key element of any bow, be it new, old, beautiful or ugly is a properly tuned shaft and a finely honed, razor sharp head placed in the sweet spot.
Theres only one thing that can make a great bow better, and that is dedication ,combined with a finely tuned shaft, with razor sharp heads leading the way. :campfire:
So, what your trying to say is they need to be Razor Sharp? :biglaugh:
I guess "sharp" is a relative term, but mine are razor sharp.
I like everything I own that cuts to be sharp, good point to the new comers.
 My blunts are even sharp.

That's funny! :biglaugh:
I used to be sharp but, now only my broadheads are!

Sorry guys I just had to LOL! :biglaugh:
Love that razor sharp wit!
Stay thirsty my friends . . ..
Thanks lol and you should've said, "stay razor sharp my friends"
This thread is making me edgy...
;)
:biglaugh: very punny thread.
I get the point!
You guys are cuttin me up!! :biglaugh:
Funny thread.
Good message though. A well matched arrow can make any bow shoot good. I have had a few No named bows out shoot my custom bows in the past.
BTW, I am ok with scary sharp, it doesnt have to be razor sharp.
My wit is razor sharp, broadheads ain't to shabby either;-)
I once fancied myself a wit but was told I was only half right...
;)
I have been told that I'm as sharp as the leading edge of a bowling ball.
Hey! this thread is really keen!

Yep, it really cuts to the chase...
:D
Sharp is as sharp does.
Well I doubt that I am the sharpest arrow in the quiver . :p
Who made the comment "my broad heads are so sharp if you look at them it will cut your eyes"
This wasnt what I had in mind for this thread, but this is funny stuff, no matter how you "slice" it. :biglaugh:
You guys are just a bunch of cut-ups :D
Nothing dull about this thread!
Good point though on the arrows!!! Lol.
I like reading a light-hearted thread, it really takes the EDGE off. Now back to my same old DULL routine.
I have to agree I would rather shoot a $15 bow with perfectly tuned arrows and razor sharp heads than a $1000 bow with arrows that fly like a whirly bird! Shawn
Choices , Not for me/ I will take the nice bow that shoots fantastic with a head so sharp the elk will die before they know they been shot.
I'm a spoiled brat though. I always like the best.
God bless, Steve
Agree with Shawn...give me my 30+ year old Browning Cobra, Wood arrows and my Zwickeys....and deer will die. I killed a mess of game with my older bows before I got my "newer" "fancier" ones. I love my newer bows but don't ever underestimate the effectiveness of those great bows from the 70's.
Not a problem Joe, That is the best, I love those old Brownings and Bears and Howatts :goldtooth:
God bless you all, Steve
Well Sixby, you make some of the best. I was just looking at some of your bottom mount bows on a Powwow thread . . . WOW.
Can't wait to get that long bow I ordered from you!
