I've been dutifully practicing with my trusty el-cheapo long bow (Jerry Hill). I've been planning on hunting with it, as I never got any of my project bows completed. On a whim this evening I picked up the Dryad bow that I never totally finished (got it tillered and shooting, but then never put a final finish on it).
I had forgotten how stinkin' nice that bow shoots! Right where I'm lookin' and fast fast fast.
Sigh... thanks Mike and Jason - now I have to finish the thing and use it to hunt with this season!

Yup, my wife and I have and shoot two Dryad Hunters, and have a third bow ordered from them. Good stuff. Bill G.
I think my Bushwacker is the best bow I've shot and I've shot a few..... Terry
Love my Hunter! The only time I get more compliments is when I stand next to the wife!

I no longer own a dryad I had a Windtalker for a while. very nice comfortable smoothe shooting bow. I will probably get another in the future. something Glass backed this time..
Mine is one that I tillered from their bow blank. I can only imagine how well they shoot if tillered by Mike and Jason!
Matty..Dryad doesn't make glass backed bows, only natural material bows.
I have a Kiowa hunter I'm awfully fond of and Dianne has a Bushwacker (or a tallywhacker or something fancy)
Dianne has a Tallywhacker????.... :scared: I'm not touching that one.... :knothead: Terry
Dianne has a Dryad Hunter and you have a Kiowa. We don't make a TallyWacker. . . .yet.
LOL
Mike
I have a bulletwood slat and a piece of bamboo I got from Dryad a couple of years ago. Guess I need to get the Dean Torges boo-backing video and try to get mine built.
this is good to hear. I'd really like to get one for next season, and the profile is beautiful!
I got the Bow blank last year and love it. I was only wondering if I could cut the riser a little towards center and if so How much? I don't want to weakin the riser any. This is the Osage/Bocote riser "Tallywhacker" one. Any help would be greatly appreciated unless I brake it of coarse and then I will have to sick the "TallyWhacker Dogs" on you! Thanks & God Bless! Keefers <")))><
Dryad bows are top rate. I have a Windtalker, Bush Wacker, and a hunter type blank I finished myself. It's hard for me to decide which one to shoot. They all shoot very well. To good for a poor arkie like me, but I'll try to keep them all happy.
Just shot my Hunter through a chrono, 550gr. POC arrow at 172fps. No Glass.
If I keep reading these threads I'm gonna buy one. :)
I normally buy a bow every other year. I have purchased 4 bows and a set of limbs since Feb.
I have to at least wait till 2008 if I want to sleep in the house.
uk bowmen thats pretty fast!! what was the draw wieght?
