I have hunt 234 here in Michigan and it starts tomorrow, ive been busy as heck at work worked the last 3 Saturdays but Im gonna hunt tomorrow morning. I have been seeing a huge Tom from my yard and my girls and I went and set up my blind and dekes late this afternoon. No sooner than got back to the house and who shows up to go roost right on top of my setup, yup the big Tom, now this turkey is special when I first seen him it looked like he had a Shetland pony tail growing from his chest but after looking at him with the spotting scope tonight it appears my feathered friend is sporting two separate beards at least 9" long each, kind of a shocker but I got a real good look. I killed a 3 bearded bird a long time ago with a gun but this guy has more beard total. Im really excited to hunt him and it would be a cool trophy I would probably mount. Wish me luck and if it happens Ill post details,Don.
Good luck!
Good Luck Don, I hope to read the story here tomorrow. Shoot Straight

No blood on the ground this morning, called in 2 jakes to about 35 yds, also had a mystery bird gobbling his head off but would not come in, probly henned up, the hunt continues for the double bearded bird.
Good luck to ya. Stick with them. Keep us posted on how it goes. God bless.
called in the same two jakes to 15 yds this afternoon, as the double bearded bird strutted in the field behind my house as the wife watched off the deck.
Best of Luck. Hope to see this bird :)
Come on Don. Enough already. Get that bird and show us some pics. Just think the sooner you get him, the sooner you can get back to work.
Good luck! :campfire:
Good luck don! That time of year when 830-9 o clock things pick up nicely
So far the birds are are proving a little smarter than me, I know not hard to believe right, well I am still seeing them and hearing them but as far as coming in for a shot other than jakes not so much. The double bearded bird is missing a couple primary feathers I noticed when he was struttin his stuff 2 evenings ago, I think he may have had some 12 gauge education from one of my neighbors so he is proving a tough cookie but Im gonna hang in there as I have three more weeks yet.
Hang tough Don!
You can do it!
