Title: KY Elk Draw Results Available
Post by: Bowwild on May 03, 2013, 08:50:00 PM
I didn't get drawn...again.  But, I've only been applying since I retired in 2007. I'll keep trying until the string doesn't come to anchor.

Better luck to you folks.

A fellow who goes to my church was drawn here in Lawrenceburg.  He has helped other people get their elk in KY. Now it is his turn.

First modern day KY elk hunt was October, 2001 for 6 hunters. The first elk killed in this first hunt was a nice bull by hunter, Tracey Cerise from Lexington, KY.

I have a photo of myself with a 2001 RMEF banquet knife beginning the full-body mount skinning of that bull. (497 of 500 I think).

Elk Capital of KY is Hindman in Knott County... I drew on a late January early February 2009 hunt... Shot a cow where I could see and hear the drive through at the DQ/Hardees and bank!!!

I would say that area is pretty good!!! Also check the KY Telecheck results and there are lots of guides on the KY hunting forum...
