while working today a recieved a call from a guy on my route who knew i was in to traditional archery. he told me he was helping an old lady clean her basement and found a old recurve bow. he asked if i was interested and i said i would take a look. an hour later i pulled up to his house and he came out with an OLD Grizzly, a bunch of arrows, a really neat belt/hip quiver, broad heads, tabs spare strings and more! bow is in decent/used shape with some small cracks and hazing as well as slight limb twist which i think can be fixed by Mr. Fix It Ron W! he said what will ya give me, i said i only have $22 in my pocket, he said SOLD! the whole kit and kaboodle! after talking with my friend Charlie i think it is a 67, what can ya tell me????
PhotoBucket is killing me right now!

Oh man, that's cool. I have a couple of old Griz that shoot great for me- one from the late '50's, the other from the early '70's. The older one was a deal like yours. When I feel off my game I pull a Griz down, and somehow I can magically shoot again.
Tom
what kinda old broadheads didja get ?
More pix ?

I see some goodies I like.........I'll clean that old girl up for ya!!!!!!! Hint ,Hint!!!!
any thing for you dad!, take all the goodies listed and make the ole girl sparkle! also have doz or so aluminum arrows for ya. i do not like quicker quivers on any of my bows, any way you can plug/hide the holes?
soooooo was Charlie right it is a 67?
Great Find Ken. After Ron Cleans her up, I'll double your money ;)
Our Buddy WoodChucker has the exact bow which he hunts with. If I am not mistaken its the same weight to.
Ken, those look like Razorback 4 and 5 heads. They also had practice cassettes that you could slide on. They came in a plastic carton, and with a plastic guard that went over the blades.
If I am not mistaken, what Mr. Johnny Rambo used to defeat the Russian and VietNamese armies was some of these with the plastic guards in place and painted. . his exploding arrows.
Those Bear heads look very useable.
Neat stuff.
ChuckC
We can plug any and all holes......
The broadheads that spin 360 are Satellite broadheads and have'nt been made in years. And those Bear Razorbacks are nice!! It was a great find and the best $22 bucks spent!! :clapper:
i am lucky that is all i had in my pocket or i would have offered $100!
I would have asked if he took plastic/debit/credit an old dog??? LOL!! But its one of those rare genuine finds that everybody looks for. Lucky??? That's an understatement!!! LOL,,As I said,,great find!! Atleast its going to the rite person who will restore it to its original luster!!
now what made me cry was the guy told me the old lady had broken up and thrown out at least a dozen bamboo fly rods with one being a Winchester!!!! he said he jumped in the dumpster and was able to keep a few of the old reels but the rods were all broken....
Great find!!!
Are you kidding me??? I just had an old 3 wt bamboo flyrod restored that I found in a ladys attic,,,(the heat destroyed them),. But trust me,,I was happy to find and restore it!! Its not my Sage nor G. Loomis,,,but its fun to fish and be making memories with and wonder on its history,,
Great find Ken!
I have had the privilege of owning Grizzlys from many years. 1967's are great bows. I really like the grip. They are pretty easy to quiet down too. That's going to make a fine bow!
Couldn't happen to a nicer person !, good luck with it brother Ken.
He was right, Ken, it is a '67. Be prepared for a thrill when you shoot it. I have a '67 Grizzly also and they are great shooting bows with an excellent grip profile. Much better bows than the round fronts, IMO. Great find, man, Congratulations.
Lots of other goodies, too.
The broadheads are Razorback 4's and yes, the plastic ferrule was made to rotate. They were made in a 5 blade model. Instead of changing individual blades, the whole cartridge was replaced. They were popular for a few years. Satellites had an aluminum ferrule with individual blades and did not rotate.
Very sweet Ken
Nice find Ken.
Nice find Ken.Heads are Razorback 4's.The Rambo head!
They were made by NAP(New Archery Products),and they also made a 5 blade.Flew like Laser Beams.Salty price back in their day!
:scared:  :scared:
Your's is as good as or better than any garage sale find I've read about.
Congratulations!!!
God bless,Mudd
PS: How cool is this?.... Way!!.... I'm saying....
What a terrific break for you! Sweet sweet bow!
