So i was lucky to take a nice VT bird this am and caught the action on my small POV cam that was hooked to the side of my blind. The bird was alone and came from a long ways off. Once he saw my dekes he quickly committed and you can see he tried to give my jake a beat down. He weighed 18 lbs 11 oz and had 1 1/4 spurs. It was a beautiful morning to be out. I took him with a Simmons land shark and my trusty BW. I will say that I have had amazing success on turkeys using land sharks. It just puts em down. I used guru's string tracker set up which has worked great for me. Luckily wasn't needed in this case as he only went about 40 yards.

Nice job Steve.....again! So the camera was on the outside of your blind? Hows that work?
Thanks everybody.
Greg I hooked it to the side window with a flexible camera tri- pod and just leaned it out the window. I could just reach over and turn it on and off as needed. Here is the hero shot.

Great video Steve and great shot! How far was the shot?
Jon, It was 8 yards. I like turkeys close. :)
Congratulations and an interesting video. Bue--. :)
I love it when the string goes and goes and then just stops....
Can you show a pic of the string tracker setup. After loosing a bird this year I am thinking I may have to set one up.
Tracker,
There is a thread in the how-to section from guru that explains how to do it. My set up is identical to that. I drill a hole in the front of my quiver and screw the tracker in. I will take a picture.
Great Job, nice video.
Fantastic!! Hope to see how landsharks work here in Maine. Just need a tom without hens. Congrats!!!
That was a great video and turkey.
Nice!
Here is a picture of my string tracker set up and you can see the camera in the widow.
