Went to the archery shop last night to bareshaft tune my arrows. I went from 515 grain Bemans to 715 grain Gold Tips. 24% FOC full length with 325 up front and they fly like darts, hit harder and easily out penetrate my old arrows. My Tall Tines is noticeably quieter and smoother upon release, and without puting them through a chronograph I can't tell a difference speed wise! I was also quite impressed with how much the vibration felt @ the shot was completely gone. Feeling very confident with this setup, now if I can just find some time to get the turkeys to cooperate.....
Good luck!

Thanks guys. I'm thinking with my 175 VPA's and 57# TT I should have enough power for elk and moose. Your thoughts?

Well tuned arrows are a beautiful thing! You should be able to kill about anything with that set up but l believe there might be a 60#minimum for Moose. You might want to check that out before you go chasing after them. Either way good luck this season.
Sounds like a great setup. Now go get 'em. God bless.
