Title: The Under $10, Under 30 min. Quiver.
Post by: Wannabe1 on April 29, 2013, 08:23:00 PM
Threw this side quiver together in under half an hour and less than $10.00. Need to put foam in hood and will be good to go for broadheads.   :D

Went to Home Depot and bought a 3" PVC cap for the hood, 1pc of 1/4" X 1 1/4" Hemlock stick, some 1/2" and 3/4" nut and bolts. I then drilled a couple of holes through the cap and stick, inserted bolts from the inside so the nuts could go on from the back and tightened 'em up. Then cut a 6" piece off the hemlock to make the cross section for the arrow clips (which I already had). Drilled two more holes through the cross section and main piece and then bolted them together. Screwed arrow clips down, then drilled two more holes in the main piece for the shoulder string, painted with black/green/tan paint and called it good. Just need to add a piece of foam with some Elmers rubber cement and that's it.

Sorry, not good at building instructions.

T.W.
Now if you got a "Wal-Mart" in your area they have a set of two foam "Yoga" blocks that are around 4"x6"x9" long sold as a set for around $9.99 for the two...Mostly all I see is Purple, blue,or pinkish girly colors cause most men I know don't "YOGA' whatever that is?
But the foam feels exactly like the rinehart target and can be used to replace a bad area in the targets just cut with a hacksaw, bandsaw, handsaw, electric kitchen knife, sawz all, hatchet, or whatever you prefer and shape it with a sanding block ,rasp, bench sander, belt sander, hatchet, or whatever you got  :D  ...Some plumbers goop from Lowes or wal-mart will hold it "FOREVER' and waterproof....
Now you can make a few more of those quivers for your buddy's!
  God Bless ,
          Keefers <><

Keefer: thanks for the tip. I was trying to think of what to get for the foam. I'll look into that.

If someone sent you some of the Tradgang 1-stringer logo arrow wraps, you could make one up and put the wraps on the wood partlength-wise and put it up on St. Jude's Auction...bet it would get attention.

Slick idea.
