I can find 250 grain and 300 grain screw-in field points, but no 275 grainers :help: ?
Thanks!
I don't think I have seen them either. You can take a 190 gr gr glue on and a 75 gr steel adapter, then add app 8-10 grs of lead or solder in the cavity of the adapter,to get your 275 gr weight.
You can always get the 250 and add the brass weight washers
Thought about that as well. Thanks, Jim!
With weight washers,3 (15 grs)is about all you can get on and still have threads left.
Get the 300 grain ones, then install them on an arrow. Then,carefully...and slowly, grind a bit off the rear of the points, while rotating the shaft in your hands. Grind the point in the rotational direction of the tightening sequence so it does not "unthread itself" during the grinding procedure. Go slow, weigh often until you achieve your desired weight. This trick works great for putting 5/16 heads on 9/32 arrows like the Axis. Taperring the rear of the point so it removes easy from targets. Works great buddy. rat'
I would agree with getting some 190 grain glue on points and the 75 grain adapter with 10 grain fishing weights will work well.
Yep. I believe the glue on with the 75 grain adaptor is gonna be the way to go. Thanks, all!
250 grain point plus 25 grain muzzy grasshopper
Nothing - great idea for a stumpin' point! Like that - thanks!
No problem. This is how a make 145 gr. blunts (wish Judos came in more screw-in point weights)
