Went out stump shooting this morning in the Klondike Forest in Amboy, NY. Perfect morning for a walk and plenty of stumps.

This was the first time my wife went out for a walk with me while stumping. Although she seemed to enjoy it, she still doesn't want to give it a try. I'll have to work on that a little.
"Bear" sign.... Nice.
Looks like a fun time! :)
Hey ron.....Nice, were all those shots 60 yards like at the stumpfest..... :biglaugh:
Hi Ron,
Actually, honest to God and my wife is my witness, the second to last pic was about 80 yards! I paced it off. I can't hit anything at 15 yards, though. Last year I shot at the same dead tree and hit it about 15 feet up. I had to bring my ladder to get the arrow.
Looks like you had a great time, thanks for sharing.
Longshot Ron, Looks like your nailing them pretty good. Just remember it's not Teddy Bear season yet!
:clapper: :clapper: :biglaugh:
Now that's fun. That one took two shots, grizzly no doubt.
Got an arrow that will knock the stuffin' out of that bear?
I got a point for that stuffed bear all right. My buddy adkmountain ken lent me a big, about 300 grain thumper head at the Rockwood stump shoot that would do the trick! I forgot to give it back when we were done. Sorry Ken, but I will put it to good use :biglaugh:
Ron, are you talking about the blunt or the Teddy bear? :biglaugh:
Thats great. Love the pics. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Thanks for the pics Ron. Looks like a great day afield but with a name like Klondike, i was expecting the ice cream treat.
looks like fun!
That bar looks like a "target-rich" environment....

Nice pics - thanks for sharin'!
Shoot straight, Shinken

I dont know klondike forest? Grew up that way. is it part of the 46? Mike
The Klondike Forest is about 875 acres of state land between Parish and Camden, about a mile south of Rt. 69. It's not part of the 46 Corners area, but it is fairly close to it.
Knaw, you crack me up! :biglaugh:
I think I have seen a few of those arrows before.
Nothing like a stump shoot to keep you sharp, and just plain enjoy the day before the black flies come out.
:)
