I just read Mark's Profile of Ed Bilderback. It made me wish that I had about 6 hours and a pot of coffee to spend with him. I've always loved talking to "Old Timers", and asking them "what was it like?" or "how'd you do it back then?". Ed seemed like he was one heck of a guy. I'd love to read more on him. I lent my copy of Essential Encounters to a buddy. I'll have to get it back and watch Ed's interview again. Thanks Mark for a great article.
Sean,
I agree 100%. I had just finished reading Fred Bear's "Field Notes", so Mark's article was perfect timing!
I enjoyed that article as well.

Lookin' forward to a good read!

Mark's original article was edited down from 5,300+ words. He is going to donate the original manuscript to the PBS magazine in a couple months after the piece in TBM has run it's course. Good stuff. They don't make them like Ed Bilderback anymore.
I also enjoyed it. I often wondered what became of the Valiant Maid.
Gene, Can't wait for it to appear in the PBS magazine! Are they going to print the entire 5,300 words??
That was an interesting story! :readit:
I will be looking forward to the full piece in PBS, because the TBM was a great read.
