I always like to put out my trail cam a week or two before the start of a hunting season. I only use my TC to verify game is using my land, and never to "pinpoint" a particular trail being used or to figure out exactly when and where a Deer or other game is going to be. I like to HUNT my game. But it is nice to verify, or eliminate unproductive areas. With that said, I set up my TC in my usual spot. That spot is where my access road splits at the juncture of two ridges. This is also at the crest of the hill about central between my borders. These pics are what I captured in the last 7 to 10 days. I was hoping to see some Turkeys. I normally know when their around in the Spring, but so far this year I haven't heard one gobble.Pleasant supprize!!

Is it me or is that strutter totting 2 beards? Hard to tell maybe could be an out of place feather? Either way looks like your in the birds David :)
I believe their are two birds in that one of them strutting, the more I look it is two birds! Nice! Shawn
Now I see it Shawn!
Can I come over and play?! :D
Kidding but, good luck on your season this year! Looks like you got everything there to make for some great excitement and stories.
Wapati, Guy from Corning killed a Bear during gun season a couple of years ago, up on the south hill from Corning.( Caton ) Bear was 589 pounds. There has been 4 or 5 other Bears shot in the area in the last few years, all over 500 lbs. I had one come in my yard a few years ago that I estimated ( it was right outside my window) at around 400 lbs.
Shawn, Yes there are two birds and I think the one that looks like it has two beards is just a feather out of place.
Nice to see some North woods pics. :campfire:
Well it's been a week since I checked my TC, so here are a few more pics I got today. Looks like, with any luck, I'll have these birds to hunt come Wed.
