Thank you, and the video is awesome, Burt
You will be pleased with Dave's bow. I have two of them and would not take for 'em. Super light in the hand and have tremendous cast.
Danny
I found the classic look of brown and white glass a temptation too much to resist....lol

I couldn't decide which I liked best, the classic look of brown glass on the back and white glass on the belly or the distinctive look of black glass on the back and white glass on the belly that sandwiches the red cedar between the two. So, I got one of each. :bigsmyl:
Now you got me thinking Ric,how about some pic's of them?PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE, LOL Burt

Here is a little tease. These are pics Dave sent me during the fabrication stage. The first is a myrtle riser, black glass back and white belly. I named it "Tahlequah" for the Capital of the Cherokee Nation; Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

This is a little shooting done with it. 5 arrows at 25 yards.

This one is the second bow I got from Dave. Imbuia and myrtle riser, brown glass back and white on the belly. I decided to name it "Sequoyah" for the Cherokee Chief that was the first to set the Cherokee language in writing.

Makes a very nice lookin' limb.

Red Cedar - I love the deep red with the mottled creme. No color like it.
Here's one that I recently built. Erc and bocote.

next bow I buy will be from Dave Johnson! thanks for sharing
I think I will go with black and white,I love the look of cedar in a veneer ,but I think the lams under clear glass won't look the same because the wood has to be very clear and uniform for lams. Burt
That's what I have ordered on mine.
if you like red cedar also check juniper limbs... here in SC we have eastern red cedar which is really a juniper...similar coloration as you are showing...beatufiul woods under clear glass. I had a Fatal Styk with juniper over bamboo and it was a striking bow.
