Due to the extremely late spring here in Manitoba, I had to cancel my 1st hunter up in May. Due to his schedule he can't come up in June making one tag available for this year.
The hunt will be a six day hunt starting on June 7th of this year. I know it's last minute but there is something that makes it sweeter. Although it will have limited "camp life", it a 2 guide one hunter hunt with free run of 16 baits all to yourself. That, combined with it being the rut, will make it a once in a lifetime hunt.
The cost is $3290 after all fees, tags, and taxes. The hunt is all inclusive (guiding, meals, accommodations, game care, and transportation once at camp)
Due to the limited time frame it will be first come first serve. Thanks for taking the time to read this...Ryan
Darn I just don't have the time available, why can't this happen in 2014? Maybe it will. I'm sure someone will swoop this up in a heartbeat Ryan.
Mike I am with you, just can not do this one this year. Ryan I am sure it will go very fast.
John
If I wasnt already payed in full for the wife and I on another I would grab this right up
Reehahn, do me a favor and contact Doug77. He is a good guy and was just asking about your place.
Steve

I need to get a loan. I wonder if I could call a home improvement loan. I really wish I have the cash on hand I would be there.
I was kinda expecting most guys to already be booked elsewhere or not be sitting on a pile of money. Thanks for the support here guys...someone is gonna be a happy bear hunter!
AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! Man would I love to snatch this up! Unfortunately, a lot of things are stacked against me for June 2013... Family vacation to Mexico, will be moving to Kansas, and obviously the $'s and time will not be to abundant in June...
I can't see this lasting to long though...
Randy, wouldn't a big bear rug improve your home? Sounds like a valid home improvement to me.
What an opportunity  wanna do some decal trading? Haaahahaa! Good luck Ry!!
Gonna be the prime time!
:deadhorse: :deadhorse:
Hmmmm....what's this still doin here? If I weren't already committed to Stickflingers week 2 I'd be on this like a fat kid on cake.
With the late spring and all the baits to yourself, I see somebody shooting a giant boar off a hot sow on this one. I will even give a scouting report :campfire:
Mike send him a check for me then I will give you a report ;)
Good luck this year!!
The guides are actually the highlight of the trip :)
And it is tough to meet Ryan's height restrictions for guides! See you in about 33 days David.
D.P.
Ouch!
Ouch is right. Poor David. Isn't the saying its not the size of the dog in the fight its the size of the fight in the dog. On the other hand the streams might be over his head.
As you know, all is in jest!
See you soon.
D.P.
Hey Ryan ... If this is still available I'll take it
Email me what you need for payment and confirm what day I need to be there. i'll be flying in from Seattle, to Winnipeg I presume, just let me know. I passed on this hunt a few years ago and kicked myself for two years ... Best to ya, Ken
email is elkken1@gmail.com
My wife bought me water wings for the creek crossings.
Atta boy Ken!! Should be amazing!!
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper: Congrats, hunt of a lifetime!

:archer2:
You are in for a treat. Ryan and David are real good guys. Good luck everyone. Rich
Thank you for taking this Ken, I was eyeballing my available sick time to use up.
I look forward to the stories to come.
Well it took me two days of begging and convincing my wife a bear would not eat me before I gave Ryan the word. My wife is the best when it comes to letting me do what I want but when I mentioned " BIG BEARS " she said " I don't think so " !!! I guess she missed that bear rug on the wall of my man cave. I assured her Ryan would keep me safe and she said " do what ya got to do " ... so I did.
I look forward to having a fun time and sharing it with all of you, bear or no bear. It will be good to be in the Canadian woods again !!
Ken,
You will have a blast. Great place, great people and the chance for a great bear if you can be more patient than some of us poor weak souls!
D.P.
If I hadn't already booked a trip to QC this spring I would have jumped on this one.
Hope you have a great hunt Ken
Darn, I am always a day late on these! Keep me posted if anything else opens up! PLEASE!!!! I have heard nothing but AWESOME things about your hunts and almost got to go on one last year!!!!
I'm sure glad that you jumped on this before I saw it Kenny. I am easily tempted, and this would have been VERY hard to put out of my mind. I am really trying hard not to do stuff like this while trying to save for a moose hunt maybe next year. You saved me from myself!
Have a great time, and tell your wife big bears are safer than little ones because they don't climb trees as well. ;)
Congrats Ken ! I'm sure you'll have a great time . I can now stop trying to rearange my finances .
Geez I'm glad I helped so many of you guys out by jumping on this hunt first ... Good luck getting lined up on a good moose hunt Joe, that one is on my bucket list but I think I'll need some better ankles first.
Appreciate all the encouragement, I'm really excited and look forward to the BIG BEAR hunt .... I'm now in the process of picking out all my lucky underwear to take on the hunt. I'll be sure to take my St Judes T shirts, my TGMM T shirts, and my Snoopy Valentines boxers that should bring me some luck and "it's sometimes better to be lucky than good"
Bring a thermacell just in case the bugs are bad.
Thermacell saved my life on my hunt. Would have needed a transfusion...I am more worried about needing snow shoes on our hunt next month. Still looks cccccold way up there right now ;)
Congrats on a great opportunity
Take extra changes of boxers--those bears look awfully big up there!
I didn't use my thermacell for more than a couple of hours last year, but I always have it with me for spring hunting. There is plenty of water up there for the little buggers to hatch in.
D.P.
Yep, by the time Ken's here he'll benefit from a Thermacell for sure! Earlier weeks might need Thermal jackets to not freeze. Quite sure we'll have frozen lakes until mid to late May. Either way it'll be another bowhunting adventure!
