Hello
i'm from france and use to shoot a Border Khan of 60 Pounds power with 20/20 legacy and zwyckey or magnus ....... get some nice trophies with that setting but also some pain in my back from a old car accident .....
I sold my khan and baught a Predator td bow in 55 pounds last year and shoot with 2O/18 with magnus broadheads
Even it's a very very smooth bow to draw my back was still painfull and the training session shorter and shorter
Finally i order and just recieved a Tomahawk TD desert fox long bow in 50 pounds ...
I can shoot many more times with this bow without hurting too much my back but the opening season is coming and i have doubt about the weight of the arrow i have to shoot with this bow for "sanglier" (russian boar)or alpine chamois
I'm shooting with carbon arrow 150 for a total weight of 510 grs with zwickey ? do you think is enough ??? do you with this type of setting i can shoot a tri blades broadhead like the woodsman ???
The 20/18 are flying well too for a weight of 540 grs .
Thanks for our help because here everything below 60 pounds is not consider strong enough to kill a big game

I think that you are good to go! Get the grill warmed up. Hap
I think you'll be fine with the setup you described.Lot's of folks here shooting boars, deer, and even elk with bows in the mid to high 40# range.
imho you're much better off shooting a bow that you can shoot well, than going up in weight and having problems.
you will be fine I shot through a 300 pd boar with a 125 magnus 2 blade and a cedar arrow.
total weight was about 520 and I was shooting a 50 lb longbow
I would use that setup with no concerns!!
Good luck this year!
Marc
thanks you for your advices ..... one more question do you think that with that set up a Two blades broadhead is a necessity to increase the penetration or a Woodsman wil do quit the same with a better bloodtrail ??????
A Woodsman would do the job with that set-up. I shoot a Snuffer ouit of my 50-54# bows and arrows from 480-520 grains and would hunt pretty much anything with that. Shawn
Looks like a good set-up. Your arrow weight per pound of draw is at least 10 grains, so you should have no problem with penetration under most circumstances. Good Luck!
Claudia
You will not have any issues if you put the arrow where it belongs. Let us know how big he is when you get him!
