Title: Super Leather vs Cordovan Protection?
Post by: RidinMyK2PastU on August 27, 2007, 10:15:00 AM
Hey,

I have a quick question for you. Is the Cordovan leather used for the Cavalier Elite Tab thicker and provide more protection than the Super Leather used for the Cavalier tab?

I have been shooting the Cavalier with the Super Leather, but after shooting for a few min the string hurts my fingers. I am thinking of buying Cordovan to replace the face on this tab or get the Cavalier with Cordovan. I have been shooting the Big Shot glove, so maybe my fingers turned into wimps.

Thanks

I don't believe the type of leather will rectify your problem. There's nothing magical about cordovan leather, other than it stay's slick longer and maybe does not groove quite as easy.

Type of leather won't make much difference, but thickness will.  I don't know how thick the super leather or cordovan is on the Cavalier tabs, but you should be able to get some cordovan that's thicker than what you have.

I Agree with Jeremy! I shot with a Tab for awhile, and it had Grooved and Worn so Badly, here wasnt Much Finger Protection.
A "Sage" Archer I used to Shoot with told me "Get Another Piece  Of Leather Under It" and Its Worked Like a Charm!!
