My friend sent his to The Bow Hospital. They did a very good job,but it took a while to get back. The man was swamped. But,it came back looking great, and right at the weight he wanted it at. rat'

A job done right is worth some time, especially in the off season.  Just my opinion though

You might also want to contact the bowyer who made it. I have a BW PLV I want reduced but will have BW do it.

I had Joe Lasch (Whip) do a Bighorn recurve for me before he sold the Bow Hospital to John Rafferty.  John did a '69 Bear Super Kodiak for me last summer and did a super job.  The Bow Hospital is a sponsor here.  You'll be pleased with John's work.

Any change some of you bows are reasonable weight for you at the new draw length and you can work up  the the extra 5# of draw weight on that bow?

Given two inches longer draw, is the bow still long enough for you?  Might consider that before reducing the weight.  I agree, too, that you should be able to work up to the extra 5# the extra draw length  creates.  Too, you might find after a while that you may not want to continue in the target style and go back to a shorter draw.  Everything feels great the first time one tries it.  Some things to consider.  May not want to rush into a bow weight reduction.

Britt, I'm pretty sure Keith Chastain can do that for you, call Tom Clum, he would know for sure, that way it's in the local area! But I kind of agree with some of the other posts, it shouldn't be that hard to go up the 5 or 6 lbs unless you were way overbowed to begin with. Good Luck!

Thanks alot everybody, I think I will set with it awhile. The bow Iam shooting know is 46# at 28. Iam drawing 30in. know. So I figure 50# at 30in. I think I can work up to it.
