Hello,
Once again, looking for some arrow advice. I want a heavier arrow and I am have the funds to buy a dozen or so more. Currently I am shooting Trad Only's 500 with 100-125 gr tip, 29.5 inches. Which according to Stu's calc are a bit weak for this setup. I'd like to be over 8gpp. 400+ total. I am very light right now.
50# Dalaa
27.5 Draw
FF-16 st.
Should I switch to a 400 w/ heavier tips? I am thinking GT or Beman, as both seem like good shafts and purchased for a good price.
Any adive is always appreciated.
If you have 2" in length more than your draw length you can cut them another inch if you have to. I would choose what weight broadhead you are going to use and tune your arrows with that weight point.

I think I might do the 150gr woodsman. Thoughts?
You can add more weight to the point end and still not be underspined. As an Example I shoot a Belcher riser with a set of Border Hex-5H limbs 52#s at my 28.5" draw and shoot the same arrow as you, .500 spine and 29.5"s and I shoot 175-190 grains of point weight and they tune perfectly. You could cut an inch off and up the point weight to 225 or more. Shawn
Shawn,
Thanks again! I'll do some more bare shafting with the 175 and 150....
Everything was point to the 125 with the bare shaft.
