Just got back a few minutes ago and had a great time at this shoot. I reccomend it to everyone for next year. I had some e-mails in my box but they got deleted by mistake. If anyone sent me a e-mail please send it again. I appoligies for this misstake. I met Jim Mathews but we did not get a chance to shoot together. Sorry Jim but we can shoot at Lost Arrow next Wednesday night if your going. Let me know.
Got a call on the way home and a good friend of mine Dave Guest Passed away Sunday morning. Dave was a good man, a good Christian and a Traditional bow huter and shooter. He will be greatly missed by all.
Sorry to hear about Dave. I was there, had a great time, got to see lots of people from this great site, hope I made some new friends!
Sorry to here that Gary. Yea had a great time, good to meet you Sam. Stopped by you're booth a few times over the weekend. I'm going to see if I can find one of those chairs you had, sense you wouldn't sell me yours. LOL God bless you all.
It was a great event. The guys who put it on can be proud of thier efforts. Thanks!
I too had a great time--great course and the ribs were out standing! Steve Turay of Northern Mist longbows was on the way to the TradFest when he hit ice on the road up in Michigan and spun out and rolled his truck. Steve is OK and called some of the guys who he had intended to get with about bows at the shoot to send his regrets and explanation. He is a great guy and I am so thankful that he was not injured in what happened. So for those who were looking for Steve, that's why he didn't make it. Believe me he is as sorry as you are about not making it.
Was a great shoot. The food was outstanding. I was shooting with a buddy behind Mr Mitchells group on Saturday and those guys were having fun. I was cracking up laughing everytime we ran into them.
I sure hated to miss it this year. Hope everybody had a good time though.
Sorry to hear about Dave, I have shot with him a few times.
My two boys and I were there again this year and, once again, the hosts didn't disappoint. Haven't missed one yet. Those guys really know how to put on a wonderful, big shoot.
Love meeting old friends and meeting knew ones as well. I was fortunate enough to finally meet and shoot with Scott Sanders(aka "Friend") and I really enjoyed his company. I also always enjoy stopping by Sam Koger's tent and talking with him. And, as always, it's great to see Big Jim's tent there as well and all of the other vendors that setup there every year.
Congrats to Randy Grider, Eddie Alexander and the entire crew at the KTBA for hosting another successful KY Tradfest. :archer: :archer2:
Gary, sorry to hear about the passing of a bow shooting buddy. I know they are worth a lot, as I had a chance to shoot the smoker round with some of mine Sunday afternoon. That's the best part of Traditional Shoots.
Thanks to all that made it out this weekend, I met several new folks, but missed many more opportunities to spend time with others. Just too much going on.
The kids and I were at the club almost full time from 3 pm on Wednesday until 6 pm last night, and had a great time.
I'm looking forward to seeing some photo's so post them if you have them.
Thanks again, Eddie Alexander
It was a great time as always! It was also good to see and talk with some tradgangers as well. Thanks to all who made the tradfest possible.
I really enjoyed myself as well. Trad folks have to be the best on earth. I was flying solo and was warmly welcomed into several parties.
