I called Mike at Dryad few weeks back and it came up that Mike had some new limbs that he took to a recent show. These are the Epic limbs that are basically the same as the ACS in construction but without the architecture. The limbs are a single lam of bamboo with carbon on the back and belly with black glass. I already have a set of the original Epic RC limbs and thought I should give these a try. Below are pic of the original 2 lam Epic limbs and the new carbon Epic limbs. My original set is an XL and the newer carbon limbs are longs. Both sets pull about 45# @ 30". I do not have a chronograph to measure speed but I can say the new carbon Epics feel a bit softer/smoother on the draw and really spit out an arrow! Overall, I like the feel of the newer carbon Epics better than my original Epics. If you would like to give the new carbon Epics a try, give Mike a shout.

I'm glad you like them. We took quite a while in updating the Epic ILF recurve to a carbon format. The resulting limb is faster and a lot more stable.

How are the new limbs for quiet shooting compared to the older version? I like how quiet the originals are.
What is your dryad riser in your second pic? Is that a 17" and a lower grip than normal?
A pair of those are on my wish list this year. I've got two pairs of the Epic's and they're real performers....I can imagine how much better these are. I'm really liking the new graphics.
xtrema312, today at the range, I got the carbon epics rather quiet. Just a nice little thump. I just need to install some beaver balls. The 17" Epic riser in the pic is one of the originals built in 2011. The grip then only came in a "standard". I'd class it as medium. Right now my original Epics are on a Morrison 17" metal riser and I'm working to quiet down that set-up. Only a slight buzz I working out. 8" brace on both set-ups.
