Title: turkey question
Post by: AlanF on April 06, 2013, 11:30:00 AM
This will be my first year hunting turkeys and I have a question - about how long is a turkey's leg from ground to bottom of body.  I'm trying to get a frame of reference for a secondary aiming point.  Thanks, Alan

Depends on a lot.  Anywhere from 0-8" depending on the birds feathers, strutting, just out of strut, the motion at the moment in walking, ground, etc etc. Not sure you are going to get a consistent reference point.

Alan, rather than inches something that might help better. Here is a link to a nice thread on this  Guru and Kevin posted some helpful pics.
