Just placed an order for a Lynn Harrelson straight longbow. 68", 43-45lbs @ 29" with Osage riser/limbs complimented by buffalo horn tips. Always wanted one and this is my way of getting back into shooting/hunting now that my shoulder is better.
What new bow do you have your eyes and heart set on? Love to hear the different likes.

The S-Tip LB is done and in the post. The Ultra Delight is ordered, so I'm thinking about a 62" Arroyo. Do I have a problem? or just make another bowrack and call it sweet.

I am going the other way! I am thinning down to just 2 bows to hunt and than keeping a couple old collectors. I just bought a Caribow Tuktu Static Recurve, Abe is away for a week so it will be shipped in a week or so. Eye candy and a great performer as well! Shawn
David Miller "Hawk" and a Sunset Hill

There are a couple that have nearly blinded me by plucking at my eyes....lol
God bless,Mudd
I think I need a River Runner from Chad and thennnn
Big Jim needs to make me a Thunderchild. Then I will be happy for awhile. I also need a static tip recurve. Also a new job, more time off and more MONEY!
Bill Stroupe Cold Mountain Recurve.....46# ,cocobolo riser, his choice of limb veneers.......shot one last month at CTA's monthly shoot.....smoooooth and fast !!!!!!
Well, it's not a new bow but an oldie but goodie..........1969 Bear Kodiak Hunter with factory camo. Coming sometime in the near future from a fellow here on the Gang............IJ
Go to Abes inventory page and check out the 3rd. bow down on list of Tuktu's!! It is 58"s and 54#s at 28"s. Myrtle Burl limbs and all I can say is WOW, it is mine!!!! Shawn
Thanks to Bisch I'm really thinking about a Sarrels Blue Ridge takedown.
The Foley take down longbow is also looking good.
Huntsman recurve by Mark Kimber in Australia, got one on order, 62", macasser ebony riser with african blackwood flare and macasser ebony vaneers on the limbs,55#@28". Should hopefully have it around this time next year. My new Tip should be done end of May first part of June.
Bear 64" Montana Longbow 50#@28"
I would say another Lost Creek or Don Dow.
I'm thinking Lost Creek Envy or one of South Cox's static tip recurves.
Wow, there are some good choices on here. Gonna be some real eye candy when bows get posted!
The Harrelson is going to be my only bow for a good long while. Not going to fall into the many bow thing again like last time. :biglaugh:
Butchie I was wondering who would get that one. Lol!
Wannabe1 "Not going to fall into the many bow thing again like last time. :archer:
I've got a Big Jim's buffalo bow that is just about finished. I can't wait to get it.
Thanks for the vote of confidence Mudd! :bigsmyl:
I'm waiting on another Blacktail. I'm going with a one piece this time, should be here by late fall.
HowardHill Tembo to add to my collection............

A 66" Widow PLX TD 58# @ 31", with the flaming ambrosia maple lams I got from Troy Breeding last year.
And if I had enough for 2, the 2nd would be a 64" Cari-bow Silver Fox, 58# @ 31, with all the bells and whistles.
Vyperkahn coming in 2 weeks
Zipper elkaholic coming In a month or two
EW belly mount LB coming soon.......
And looking at a static tip recurve - EW, Bigfoot , RER, ????

Looks worse when you write it down!
Sold a few and ordered another Black Widow PAX, knocking a few pounds off too.
Shedua/ Spalted Myrtle
Cari-bow...all of the longbows and the new TuktuEX. I compare all bows to my Slynx and Wolverine. Nothing has topped them yet...why I can't stop searching though
Next on the list to try:
Stewart Slammer
Toelke Whip HS and Classic
Tallon Whiskey-Jack
Right now bout all I'm thinking about is a particular stewart slammer. Also been lookin hard at the acs bows. Gotta admit though every time I pick up my centaur my old heart flutters a bit.
A stalker coyote. Just don't know if I want the longbow or static limbs? Actually I really want both.
Northern Mist Baraga 64" 52#s @ 28" cherry handle bamboo limb cores osage veneer on the back green glass on the belly cherry limb tips and cherry overlays.....I just ordered it from Steve...now the waiting begins
I just ordered a 62" whip from Dan on Friday. 48# @ 28, going to put a beavertail grip on it for a little larger feel. Dan says he has some "exhibition" grade tiger myrtle coming next week and he has some gnarly mexican dark cocobolo for the riser....30 days out! Gotta love that turnaround!!
Haven't had a Black Widow since 1970 so thought I'd try another one. PTF-X 62" should be here around end of month.
Blacktail, Wes Wallace and Zipper
I want a ZIpper Nitro, I love the black and white ebony on the Zipper site!
My new Abbott longbow should be arriving any day now!
Cocobolo riser/yew limbs, 66", 47# @ 27".
I've been shooting Abbott's for many years.
Anxiously waitng for a new to me Toelke Kestrel.
I was contemplating a Timberghost T/D lately until I saw a thread about a static recurve prototype he made. I might have to wait until it is officially available. My second choice would be either a Thunderchild or a Stalker static limbed Coyote.
You know if you don't wait, and end up spending your money, you're going to kick yourself later. :D On another note, it would give you something to still dream about.
Big Jim Thunder Child :bigsmyl: 56"/50#@28" cocobolo veneers  Should be here any day now
EW 62 in.58 lb ,Storm Eagle Static Recurve Carbon matrix back, foam core with carbon matrix center core paradox walnut veneers, Paradox walnut riser, macassar ebony flares, Elk antler overlays, tips and back of riser, copperhead skins or water moccasins, Have both and have to make up my mind.

Not just an eye for but already ordered:

70" Northern Mist Classic 70@28 to be built in May
Northern Mist 25th Anniversary reverse handle longbow
Pacific Yew Thunderbird Recurve 70@28
84" Pacific Yew Classic 83@28
Plan to order a Two Track Echo once I get my butt out of debt from the above!!! :-)
Steve - that bow sounds amazing!! Just a little too heavy for me......
I've got a Foley takedown longbow on order.
Love my Foley takedown recurve, so I'm sure I'll be happy with the longbow.
84"s that is a 7ft.long bow!! I would have to lay it sideways to shoot!! As to looking at static bows look at the Caribow TuktuEX,bows are smokers and none look better! Shawn
Patiently waiting on a basic, no frills, no thrills, Kanati. Have yet to find anything that fits me better.
Michael is nearing the opportunity to build me two Dryad Orions with RC/ACS limbs.
WhippenStick longbow, 45 lb., 64" - now on order. Another set of limbs for my Leon Stewart 3 pc. longbow - sometime in the future.
A 2-piece longbow at 50-55lbs that shoots as good as my 1-piece Sarrells Sierra. I've been looking for a 2-piece for a couple of years now and have yet to find one as nice. I'm a one bow man, but as soon as I find that 2-piece I'll become a 2-bow man and keep one for backup.
My name is on the list for a Vintage Works 59 Hybrid...been on for about a year so should know something this coming year.
Also looking at the Robertson Stykbow Wolfer Dick is going to make.....or one of his longbows.
Final one is a stout osage backed beauty from John Strunk.

Oh well you have a new toy anyways but your wishes are real good ones.

Lou
Just placed an order for a saluki genghis. Can't wait
Don't need a complete bow-what I would like is a set of 44@28 60" PSAV limbs with black glass for my Kingwoods.
Did you ask "bow", as in singular, one bow?
The guys with bows in the classifieds would love me if I won the lottery :)
A new Rhino or Wasp or Cougar.......Howard Hill of coarse.
Beeler Tracker (on order) (//%5Burl=http://imgur.com/xqB6Leb%5D%20%5Bimg%5Dhttp://i.imgur.com/xqB6Leb.jpg) [/IMG]
Heading to Medicine Lake WA next week... visiting James Berry while I am there (daughter lives two blocks away) figure I'll be picking out a new Taipan for James to build.

this may be the case with me too! my turn to try that Tuktu bow going around comes up around the spring and many folks are that get it are putting orders in.
if not I'm going for a JD Berry string follow bow.
I know a lot of you are probably gonna shake your head on this one...but it's true. I would get a Legends Mountain Bow. I like functional stuff that I don't have to worry about dragging through the brush or what have you. But that being said, my little "Bonner Bow" is all that and a bag of chips, and I couldn't be any happier!
Wild Horse Creek Mariah 1950's style recurve, 56", for turkeys/hogs.
Others I like are, in no particular order;
RER Retro
Holm made River Runner
BW PSR
Mojostik
Kohannah Kurve
New Bear Kodiak 1959
GN Ghost
Northern Mist Ottawa(my go to bow)
Current eye pluckers:
Herb Meland one piece Pronghorn
Mike Hays one piece Black Canyon
Bows do not always tug on our eye...sometimes they only tug on our mind...I am in the process of having a bow built that will be one of the the first of that configuration for that bowyer...and I am always on the lookout to add to my small collection of 1960 Kodiaks
DDave
Have a Hill Redman in the building stage. Should have it in my hands in a couple of weeks!
I'm thinking Silvertip. I have a one-piece that will be coming up on the list soon.
I'd also like to get a lighter set of limbs for my Dale Dye recurve...or just another Dye... :saywhat:
Now that I have picked a 2nd Grizzly I seem to be sated for the moment. I'll enjoy it while it lasts!
I got to shoot a Silvertip at last year's ETAR. Love it but am not patient enough to wait that long to get one built.
I have my eye out for a Fred Anderson longbow. While I'm waiting for one to turn up, I found a Robertson that was just too good to pass up. On the way to me now. Life is good.
TimberGhost - Static recurve
another B/W long bow
and PCH would be fun. :banghead:
Holm Made Kingfisher
Another Two Tracks Creation....What that is remains to be seen.
Another Zipper
Rose Oak Creation Ultra Delight Special Edition.
and Arcadian Tree stick....if only I had the$$$$
Bigfoot boot hill express, JD Berry argos or morningstar, Northern mist baraga with green glass, Robertson wolfer. pretty happy with my little recon 47 though...
Fred Bear Takedown !
Other than a brief flirtation with a couple of ILF risers and assorted limbs, my last three bows have been Howard Hills, (two Wesleys and a Tembo). I'm pretty sure it's time for a new recurve. My Jack Howard and my Bighorn have gotten too heavy for me, I gave my Hatfield TD down to a friend, and my Black Widow TF is 11 years old. Then, there is the matter of the grip. My work with Hill longbows has ruined me for a high-wrist grip, it seems. (A little more Schulz and a little less Asbell in my continual obsession with my shot.)
I think I'm going to have to bite on one of those new '59 Kodiaks when the 2014 production run becomes available. It might be the ONE.... Lower-wrist grip, skinny limbs, lots of nostalgia, no 18-24 month wait....
Is this not the best of all possible worlds!?
been looking at a caribow silver fox
The Osage and yew Hill I glued up yesterday. My first build. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Sheepeater
I really keep finding myself wanting an ilf recurve. Cant say why as I've never shot one but I can't seem to let the idea go.
Silvertip.
Robertson Primal Stykbow.
I ordered a Stewart LS in Oct. 2013 and can't wait until April/May 2014 when it arrives!
I recently Shot a Timberhawk and really liked it!
Got my Kanati a few weeks ago and that will be with me forever. Hoping to win a TallTines @ the PBS banquet and I will stick with those for the foreseeable future.
Just got my Leon Stewart Slammer back in March but always could use another. Maybe a Stewart R/D 47# 64" @28.
I've got a Rose Oak Ultra Delight on order. Should be here in March.

Fred,
Are you sending the wife on a cruise by herself so you can be all alone at home when the delivery truck rolls up to the house?
Better start the planning process
Talked to Elmer Patton this week. He's building me a Black Feather. Cant wait to get it in my hands!
Keith, I appreciate the offer but I'm already on it. I'm sending her to see the grand kids when I get the word it's on its way LOL
I think my next will be another Legends Cyclone in a higher draw weight than my first. Wonder if I could just get another set of limbs for it? I'll have to check with Bryce and see.
Hmmm?
If I had to pick one for this year.....hmmm?
Man, there are soooo many GREAT bowyers to choose from these days!
Really Jones en' for a Toelke Super D.
Tim
I have my beloved Super D, but Javaman's short new bow, the Inferno (in about a 54") has got my attention BAD,OH, and with the 2-piece option!
I know, completely across the spectrum from the Super D, but I like the performance I'm hearing about this bow.
Another 1956 Kodiak Special :campfire:
Right now a Timberghost ....
Stalker Wolverine FXT Myrtle and Zebra wood.
Just ordered can't wait!!
I have an eye for a Callaway Archery Trainer.
I have been looking at recurves from the 1960's. I really like the Damon Howatt- Super Diablo and some of the Staghorn Recurves. Contemplating building my own.
I've bought and traded several bows and found what I like so if I was to get anything it would be a set of longbow limbs for my RER XR.
I was hoping to pick up a Tice & Watts Spartan hunter...58" 57# RH....but the guy wants too much money for it.
Well since I went a little crazy this fall will be putting in some overtime at work. Looking forward to a JD Berry Morningstar this spring, as well as a Bigfoot SS a little later. Problem is that I spent to much time talking to Kirk at Bigfoot bows(always gets into my wallet) and we have been cooking up a new idea, should be here in the summer. Keep your eyes open sometime in June. :bigsmyl:
Next up will probably be an Eaglewing.
If someone comes up with a cure for the new bow bug do me a favor and don't tell me about it. lol.
I have a "Raptor Signature Series" http://www.raptorarchery.com/images/signaturebow/signaturebow_02.jpg longbow on order with Ted Fry at Raptor Archery. Hurry up spring, really looking forward to hunting elk with it this fall.
Scott.
delete....double post
Droptine Recurve by Tony Rider, Georgia
I'm thinking Liberty Contender, need to sell something first.
i dont really have one thats plucking my eye but i do have some upcoming renovations to my recurve that i am looking forward to :D some canebreak skins and a walnut lam leading into the snakeskin...its gonna look sweet. BUT if i had to choose the Obsidian T/D longbow by Big Foot Bows...just love the way it looks and have heard awesome things about them :)
None out there I know of plucking at my eye, but I do have one in my mind's eye.
64" lg. 45# @ 28", one piece recurve with fairly long, medium slim, long radiused riser and Asbell style forward grip. Dark Macassar ebony riser with thin Bloodwood accents and 4" sight window.
Riser profile shaped similar to an old Wing Thunderbird only longer with a medium forward grip, tapering into medium narrow limbs with foam cores, triple carbon and Zirocote veneers on front just a tad lighter than the dark brown Macassar riser, carbon on back.
I think a Timber Ghost is at the top of my list. Not sure if I want the take-down or the 1 pc. Smoke. Really just looking for a good, short longbow, so a Thunderchild, or a Shrew, or Javaman, or Centaur, or.....well, those all sound good too!
I'm lusting after one of the Snubnose deep recurves that Trux Turning makes!

If you get a hold of a bow by Mr. Anderson, I think that you will be pretty pleased :)
If I had some dollars burning a hole in my pocket -- and I DON'T -- , I'd buy me a 64" Cari-bow Silver Fox 3-piece takedown longbow. I have been thinking about them ever since I tried one out at Kalamazoo a couple of years ago.
Northern Mist Shelton
I just got the call that a SE Ultra Delight will be finished next week. (Rose Oak). Honduran Rosewood, Macassar, and Birdseye Maple. 58", LH, 45-47# @26". Satin finish.
Been waiting on this since I first heard they were being made, about 1.5 years ago.
WRONG!!!
The answer is "All of THEM!!!!"
Seriously, I'm liking simple hickory longbows. But then again, I'm coming over to Trad from the modern archery world, so I'm deloading everything. It's a midlife crisis, so forgive if you can.
Drop Tines recurve and Tall Tines recurve.
If I had the money, I would order a Black Widow PAX in all tulipwood or black/white ebony. Gorgeous.
Or, if Jason would do it, the same woods in a Kanati would be uber sweet!
Im. thinking of another Foley recurve acouple off more days and and ill put my order in. mike
If/when I have the money the new border covert hunter is what I have been coveting.
Whippenstick! Whipplash to be frank. I've always wanted a Harrison Siberian wolf and I hear this bow has the same lines but about 600$ cheaper.
Just bought my first Dale Dye after YEARS of wanting one.
Now a 1 piece Silvertip haunts me at night.
TD snakebit with tiger striped myrtle limbs
I've got it narrowed down to these five!
Stalker-Long bow
Timberghost-Longbow
Tall Tines-Recurve
RER-Long bow
Toelke-Longbow or Recurve
:dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:
A new Pronghorn Longbow
I just ordered a Trinity Rogue longbow, so I am done this year.
some models I like include another WW Mentor with curly maple veneers
and a Black Widow SA3
Hmmm...will be ordering my first bow in a month or two; can't decide between a Super D, Echo, HHA Redman, or Whisper. Decisions, decisions.
the new border black douglas hunter with the hex 7 limbs. A guy on archerytalk just bought the prototype from SID and its so So good looking and looks like a real performer.
Blackwidow PSA III in Birdseye maple with copperhead snakeskin limbs
I'd be interested in finding a really high end quality Osage self recurve.
Another Stalker around 55@28 grey stained curly maple/walnut !
And...
Another Centaur carbon elite "Dark Matter" take down around 53@28 !
Guess my wants will have to be patient !
Shot a Black Widow at k-zoo that I've been thinking about alot. 50@28 tulipwood riser w knotty yew limbs, WOW pretty bow not sure of the model looked like a 50's style recurve w/ a take down in the riser. Not sure I will ever spend that much for one bow though.
Northern Mist!
Another Heart Land Bow
Hoyt Dorado...
Have my eyes open for a 62" Toelke Classic Whip HS around 50@26, RH. :archer:
Looking for a set of PSAX 58" RH limbs 60 plus @28. :campfire:
(http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k313/wcocke/D15F5F8F-066B-4C0D-918F-E322C2A24119_zpsxurpszuy.jpg) (http://s91.photobucket.com/user/wcocke/media/D15F5F8F-066B-4C0D-918F-E322C2A24119_zpsxurpszuy.jpg.html)
Talltines long risered 60". To complement my short risered 58&60. And long risered 62"
Hope to have a bow glued up off one of Jody Cole's old forms soon.
Toelke classic whip, Holmmade, and Thunderstick III. Just need to convince my wife I need a few more. Not willing to part with either I have on the rack to fund a new one.
a wide piece of osage will do me good....
I'm developing a strong hankering for a Stotler Medalist.
