Title: aluminum arrow question
Post by: rkelly on April 05, 2013, 01:12:00 PM
I found some arrows in a pawn shop.  They were marked magnum 316--- 30 in long.  Can someone tell me the spine of these shafts?
And where would I get inserts for them?
Thanks

I did a search on them. They show to be Bear arrows and made by Easton. I'm sure the existing inserts that are comparable would still fit. I would just take some calipers and measure the inside diameter and then try to get a measurement on some inserts. You could also go to some of the charts that Easton offers on their website and get inside and outside dimensions and then get the corresponding insert,or just give Easton a call.   :dunno:

A 308 is a 2016, 312 is 2018, a 316 if it is a 5/16" shaft it is a 2020 if it is a 23/64" shaft it is a 2219.

As for the spine, measure the outside and inside diameter with calipers. Then you can look at the aluminum arrrow charts and get the spine .... i think

Thanks for the response guys.
2016 at 30" shoot good from my 46# at 29" with my Bob Lee.
If these are 2020 they might be a little stiff unless I add a lot up front.
Thanks again.
