My Jo-Jan does a nice job, but I see other arrows that have what seems like a lot more helical to them.
Sometimes a higher/longer feather might make it seem that way... My Jo-Jan is all this fella needs...
... mike ... :archer2: ...
On big old woodies they all do a great job. On skinny little carbons they all leave a lot to be desired. Having said that...gimme a Bitz every time.
I think the diameter of the shaft makes some look like it has more then a skinier shaft and the height of the feather.I fletch with a Bitz and a Jo Jan.They put all the helical I ever needed.I just make sure the quill has the best contact with the shaft.
I use a jojan multifletcher, that i have filed out to get more helical.
I get plenty of helical out of my Bitz.
Another vote for the JoJan

Do you file the area that lays on the arrow? The inside of the clamp? Never thought about that. Thanks Sergio.
I have both and no doubt the Bitz can give ya way more, actually not even close! Shawn
I get a lot out of my BPE.
Blane, I have the BPE. You can check it out when you come over to shoot some 2216's.
Benjy
All I have is a BPE, gives me plenty of helical. Plus its adjustable for more or less.
Walt, those 2219's you sent me is what got me thinking. They have a lot more tilt then any of my arrows.
Fetching up them ash are ye'?
Ya all I used was that BPE, I don't know what degree its set at but I can let you know later when I get home. Like I said I can adjust it for how much I want.
Bitz... all I've used for over 20 years...

I have no problem with my JoJan on Easton Axis or 23/64 woods. My JoJan is about 30 years old. Maybe the newer ones are made different.
Ill post a pic for you Blaine.
I've been very happy with my jojan i've had it for about 8 years now.
Don't get me wrong the Jo-jan is fine and I have had mine for 30 years, but the Bitz will give ya more helical every time! Shawn
I use a Bitz and it is without a doubt the most adjustable jig. I would also think that the Bohning jig is just as adjustable. I don't thing the clamps are optimal on BPE and Martin jigs but the are pretty adjustable.
Bitzenburgers are the best IMO., but they're expensive. Fully adjustable. Helical clamps should be used with respective Rt. or Lf Nock Index for best results, but work okay with the Straight Nock Index. For best results Don't mix.
