Great Question! First let me say sorry you didn't make the Muzzy Shoot this year. Had nice weather... Both Days.
This deer season I'm gonna leave the BW at home and use my "new to me" John McCullough ~ Griffin ~ longbow. It's 56", 50# @ 26". First time hunting with wood arrows also. Found I can get Wensel Woodsman broadheads very sharp on a flat stone.
Bought a bison hide back quiver form Tollgate at the Muzzy Shoot. This year (like all other years) I'll be stalking heavy cover indian style with all this NEW stuff.
Thanks For Asking ... :) ...
... mike ...
Border Black Douglas "Swift" 61#@28.5. Wensel Woodman's on Gold Tips. 545gr wt. Took a nice bear in June with it, hoping for some whitetail this fall.
Right now the front runner is a 60" DAS Master Hunter pulling 56# @ 32". I've got a Warfed Black Bear riser with the final coat of finish curing in the basement. With medium SF limbs, it's 64" and pulls the same weight as the DAS. Depending on how things go when I get it set up and tuned, it may make an appearance or two (three, four, whatever) this fall. I've also got my old 62" Chek-Mate Hunter II out of retirement as a backup bow. And one of these days, my new MOAB should be arriving from Jim Reynolds (who was kind enough to donate it to the UBI banquet auction).
So many choices...
Turkey Creek longbow 42@28 62" 440gn beman carbons with tigersharks
Titan recurve 60" 43@28 465gn beman carbons with treesharks on the front

Blue Ridge Longbow shooting POC arrows for the first deer. Then to my Hoyt Pro Medalist Hunter recurve using XX75's. I like the fact that the Hoyt is almost 40 years old.

62" 45# TD LB by Harold Couch, Chundoo arrows, and five old bear razorheads(they were my dad's), and five new to me magnus II'2 that are 145, I think. They all fly great.
I will be in the trees for a while, and when I can try still hunting through the heavy oaks and thick pines. Also have a few nice spots picked out for ground blinds.
My deer/hog set up for this season is a 66" 21st Century 21st Edge with Bocote and carbon limbs and a Bocote riser. I'll be shooting around 46# with 500 grain 2016 Classic's and a Magnus up front. My quiver is a Cat quiver IV.
I`ll be using my homemade longbow 64" and 52 at 27" with cx carbons with 100 grain inserts and Muzzy phantoms or 125 grain muzzy 3-blades.RC

Wow, had to go back a dozen pages to find this thread,
I finally decided on my setups for the year.
I'll be taking my first Trad deer with a Ben Pearson Spectre. It is a 52", 45# @ 28". I'll be launching Easton Autumn Orange 2216's with Grizzly broadheads. It was Dad's first bow, and I can't think of a better scenario than to take my first Trad deer with it (first blood for the bow as well).
After that is accomplished I'll be retiring Dad's bow (the hand shock has destroyed my elbow) and hunting the rest of the year with my Super Kodiak. It is a 60" 41# smooth as silk '74 red striper. I'll be shooting Easton 1916's with Bear razorheads on it. A selway slide on quiver will tote the load on both of them.
Oh yeah, forgot to add, I started shooting lefty as well since the Spectre has my arm funky, and I'll be hunting the last two weeks of Maryland season with Faith.
58" 46 @ 27In RER Arroyo with 1916 Eastons tipped with 100 Gr Magnus heads.
65# @28" Assenheimer Recurve, Gold Tips, Wensel Woodsman heads

Next month for whitetails in Michigan I am going to use my old 58" and 47# Herters takedown recurve. I recently picked up some old farbenglas arrows with ram mx broadheads. If they fly half decent I will give this set up a go.
Hey guys, this is the first time I've tried posting a pic and I'll probably mess it up. Had a new camera out this weekend and snapped this shot of my favorite setup-hope this works. Grant (http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff82/ygrant87/Picture006.jpg)

Fox Maverick 1 piece recurve 48@28 58 in. w/full length 29.5 in. GT 35/55 W/125 GR. WW head with 100 gr. steel adapter for 225 gr. up front, very quick and quiet.
Martin Savanna longbow 62 in.55@28 w/2115`s and 125 gr. WW w/100 gr. adapter for total arrow weight of 602 grs., this set up is dead quiet and very accurate from this bow. One of the best shooting longbows Ive ever shot period including a ton of customs.
My short close quarters bow is a Browning Cobra I 50 in. 60@28 MM string w/2215`s and 160 gr. screw in Simmons Treesharks, quietest bow Ive ever shot, quieter then most longbows.
Rick Lanham 3 pc. T/D 52@28 w/2115`s and 125 gr. 4 bld. Stingers for total arrow weight of 491 gr.This bow is smoking fast, shoots this arrow at 196 fps at 29 in. and is very quiet...Looking forward to Oct. 1st.
I've got 2 this year.
One is a 62" DAS Dalaa equipped with Winex limbs. 52#@30" (I draw 30"). I shoot a "C" Lume SRF sight and a rest and plunger. I use the either a Low or Universal Poly grip. This wears an Alpine MR-2 stabilizer.
Out of this setup I fling Victory V-Force HV 300s with 150gr. SilverFlame broadheads as well as the new Zwickey "No Mercy." I shoot Blazer Vanes with this setup which works awesome.
My other setup is a 64" DAS Elite with Winex limbs. These are 51#@30" and I put a Duracoat camo finish on the limbs. I also shoot a "C" Lume SRF and rest and plunger on this setup with a Universal Poly grip. This setup wears a Sims S-Coil stabilizer. Same arrow setup as the Dalaa flings.
Both are great bows, yet for some reason, the Dalaa is my favorite. I guess it may be because it was my first metal riser and it has a certain personality to me. There would be an empty space wanting to be filled if I didn't have both, so I'm happy. Both are absolutely awesome bows :)
I'm using my DH Hunter 55# (slight twist in the lower limb is key because I can blame any misses on that) and Easton XX78 Super Slams (2315) with Magnus two-blade broadheads or Ace Hex Heads.
Here we are with a feral basketball that was looking at us funny.
