saw where Dick Robertson has a video on his site talking about this new bow...
http://www.robertsonstykbow.com/2013/04/02/dick-robertson-introduces-the-wolfer/
I just watched the video, great idea and a beautiful bow!
That's a slick bow!
Any idea on what the price is going to be. HMMMMMM
Really enjoyed the video and i have been keeping my eye on it for about a month.
Looks right down my alley.
Nice! Wonder where it's going to price at..
I saw the first one when Dick stopped by a couple of weeks back. It was one of the nicest looking bows I have seen, let lone held. He is truly a master at his craft.
I am guessing it wont be cheap...as he was talking about it being a commemorative edition, low count, as is..no customs...just bow weight and that is it. I sure would love to have one...have never found a short 58" bow with recurved tips that would not stack or pinch at my 29.5 inch draw...if he has done it I am very interested.
I am just scared of the price...going to have to call him and talk a bit. :)
:notworthy:
Dick donated one to the Backcountry Hunters and Anglers Rendezvous, where I handled it. It's gorgeous and looks deadly.
I want.
I ordered one this morning. (My wife hates you, Brock).
I am always been a Dick's fan and this bow looks to keep his name as one of the top bowyer in the nation.
Awesome. Might have to start saving my pennies.
I'm gonna have to get on the list!
Looks like a great recurve right there!
Dick makes a most-excellent product!
My first custom - a long time ago - was a Prairie Falcon TD - cocobolo riser and black locust limbs.
Shoot straight, Shinken
:archer2:
I really like the design of that bow and to hear Dick explain it's design makes sense...I notice he mentioned Stack free on out to 31" and I don't have a draw that far but what a benefit for you long arm guys...Thanks for sharing the video...
Keefers <><
Looks to be a well thought out product. Not sure I need one but that's never stopped me before....lol!
Thanks for turning us on to the video. I had seen a few pictures of the bow, but having him explain the design and it's purpose was great. Like you, I would love one. But the price and availability may be against me.
There's always the Lotto.
Anyone get a price yet?? I sure wish he would make that one of his standard line up bows... Ide like one but no need for fancy woods etc...
$ 1,500 and up. It seems no choice on grip, details, other than weight at your draw length. If a bow comes out to a certain weight, it is offered to the first person in line, if refused, it goes to the next.
$ 500 deposit puts you on the list.
All of the above was e-mailed to me yesterday.
Now if it had static tips!! Shawn
Great looking bow, and not saying that I would never pay that much for a bow. But IF I ever do, I would want to have choices. The bow may come in at the weight that I want, but if the woods are not my cup of tea, would have a hard time paying that much. JMHO.

I am a fan of static tips...the fact is my Robertson Fatal Styk gives up little or nothing when compared to my RER LXR...the RER is my go-to right handed bow and my Fatal Styk is my go-to left handed bow...fast, smooth and quiet...and it is a 60 inch bow vs the 62 inch length of the LXR with the static tip limbs

Stack free to 31"?! What! Might have to sell some things! Awesome design and concept!
I've known Dick, and his tribe, a very short time in the grand order of things. You will not find more genuine and sincere people. I feel grateful for the time I have spent with the Robertsons, and look forward to the next time I see them.
I shot the Wolfer that Dick auctioned off at the BHA before Yote had the finish on it. I was there the Friday that Dick, Yote, and Ryan did the force draw curve on it, and yes it is stack free to 31" Like most 58" bows though, you will notice more finger pinch than you would on a 60" bow. That said, the Wolfer is a badass bow, with a great feel. Within the first 5 arrows, I felt at home with it, and had no problems working over the bag in the back of the shop with it. It didn't get chronographed, but I'm telling ya' It's fast enough :) Great little bow. I'm sure the other 34 will be lifetime hunting partners for the people that buy them.
 :clapper:
Wow, this thread has sent me to the Robertson website twice. I'm still resisting this too-cool bow.
Just talked to Dick...what a laid back fella. Talked about quite a few things but I remembered to ask about the Wolfer....
Told me the bow is a dream to shoot...and he is more worried about how it reacts during the shot and its feel than looks even though he thinks it is quite a good looking bow as well. LOL I was talking to him about its smoothness and the working of the limbs....he thought that the design allowed it to work a little more limb than is normal and with such a short riser area that all of that combined to the smooth draw. He said things just all came together for him and is getting a lot of attention in a short period of time.
price as mentioned elsewhere is going to be $1500 to start with customer putting down payment or buying one off the shelf...being able to pick your bow weight and then of course can add sheep horn tip overlays or pierce points....he just is not doing customer picked woods...but of course the price will go up for every extra item you request.
I actually spent more time talking to him about his longbows (purist, vision, primal styk)...making selfbows and hunting with them...and something we both love, The PBS.
I might have to save some pennies for one in a few months or a year if he is still making the Wolfer...
I think he already has about 12 orders he said for bows....so better hurry up and get your name on the list before he decides to stop the run. LOL
Why limit it to just a commemorative edition? An innovative design should be added to the regular line up. Looks like it will be a great bow. Perhaps he'll make a Wolfer model that is not commemorative after the limited edition run.
if it takes off...i see no reason why not.
Love Dicks bows but $1500 and no choices, I would pass. Even for $1500 and all the choices would be hard to swallow. I know bowyers need to make a buck but it is getting outrageous. I just paid a grand for a new bow and that is an awful lot, but I won't be ordering anymore customs for a long time. Shawn
Im sure its sweet but that is alot of coin.
Looked through the website for it after watching the video to seek more info. I couldn't find anything. Would like to see some pics or something. If anyone has them.
Looks nice - but too much $ for this guy.
