tried a Hoyt buffalo today
not exactly just pulled it a few time, it was a short this is what was mark on the limb
I shoot 29 compound bow and the buffalo I could draw it
just touching my chin (front) before hitting the wall, I would of love at least one more inches to come up to the corner of my mouth
my question is will a 62 inches model of the buffalo make a difference?
yes it will give you at least an inch more. Although I haven't drawn or shot one yet so I don't know how the limb is designed.

It will make a difference for sure. The Buffalo does build weight and the end of the draw cycle a little faster than some other bows.
You would likely not shoot 29 with a trad bow just a thought.
I found the buffalo easy to draw and smooth all the way than it stops
I like that just want a little bit more
but being knew at trad I was drawing it like a compound and I am certain this is not the way
and this thing is light weight compared to my Hoyt pro comp
have a lot to learn but certain with this forum I will get there
A 62"er will handle the 29" draw fine, they do stack up pretty quick but the 62"er does not start stacking til about 30"s. Shawn

why is it mark short on the limb
is it a shorter version than the 60 or 62

Short = 60" Long =62" It's the limb length.
That's the two lengths it comes in and always has from the beginning. BTW the limbs are marked "Short" and "Medium", there is no long.
I shoot a short limbed one with a 29.75" draw. It stacks a bit, but not bad. Have you drawn other trad bows before?
yes I have drowned other bows that where at the shop
all recurve of different model, wood riser, one peace, take down
a Durado also and the one that I prefer was the buffalo
I feel good with the grip and when I draw the pressure is even on it
the only thing like I said earlier is it stop a bit short and I did not like staking it to get where I wanted
and if the 62 is about 1 inch longer that would be perfect.....

I think you'd be happier with the medium 62" limbs. They will draw a little smoother for you. It's a great shooting bow and shoots well off the shelf.

now I am on arrows reading a lot on why you guys put so much weight in front.... brass insert and so on
interesting went on different sponsor here on trad and I found equipment for arrows that I ignored complete existed
its a different world than compound
the more I learn the more I become interested and able to make good choices....
but I have to make the difference heavy front arrows are for hunting and my interest is 3D and having a good time
I have the Buffalo 62" and also a 29" draw length. It fits me perfectly and should be good for you.
For arrows, read up on FOC and arrow tuning. Lots of weight up front helps with penetration while hunting. For 3D shooting I would imagine correct FOC and tuning is most important for you, to acheive that you may need more weight up front but maybe not.
On the DVD that comes with the Buffalo Fred Eichler talks about shooting the Easton Axis arrows with the Buffalo for what that is worth. DVD does have some good info to get you started.

How are you doing with your arrows buffalo? I tried about 5 different ones out of mine before I figured them out. I ended up shooting Axis FMJ 500's with a 75 grain insert and a 125 grain head. Mine is 55#

haven't bought it yet, putting all pieces together
shooting FITA at the moment but after a few years of it need a new challenge.... my eyes are starting to fade me so with trad its less important.....
by now with the help of many on trad what is missing is just a kik in the but to get it starting....

will be shooting for pleasure so I have chosen a 35#
I shoot Axis FMJ 500's out of my 55# Buffalo with 200 total up front. Hope this helps

I have a 62" buffalo and have a 30" plus draw. I will pull the tip/broadhead on a 31" arrow up on the shelf. I have no problem with my 62" Buffalo whatsoever and I have tested it with my Hoyt pull scale and it exhibits no evidence of stacking at my draw length.
I agree with K Jeff. I have two of the 60" models and draw 29-1/2". I haven't noticed the problem you're experiencing at all. Something doesn't sound right.
