Hi all , A friend of mine an ardent compound archer recentaly purchased a Chek-Mate TD 2 Hunter. Can the 450X string material he uses for hin compounds be used in his new recurve .
?
  The TD 2 Hunter is fast filght approved with the micarts reinforced limb tips .

Yes, just check with bcy for the strand count to use for his weight bow.

Yes, nice stuff. Just made a 20 strand for my black widow. Thats overbuilt but it works fine. Nine and quiet.

I would go with a 10-12 strand string with that material.

Thinking about adding Trophy to my inventory, which is 452X with GORE fiber incorporated into it.  Just haven't heard of many traditional shooters using it.
