I have to have my wife do them, I don't even try anymore so don't feel bad.  It really is a neat bow though I love the combinations in it.
God bless, Steve

I have read eaglewing makes a great bow... what bows are close, in your opinion to an eaglewing?

Bryce, It is a great shooting bow, smooth, fast, and easy for me to hit where I want. We are blessed with many excellent bowyers nowadays and no single bow fits everyone. I don't really know (or haven't shot) any bows like this one, but I'm sure there are a lot of bows that shoot just as well for their owners. There seems to be quite a few static-tipped recurves being offered all of a sudden. I have a Dryad static limb bow, and it is a performer also.

That's some SERIOUS figure in those limb veneers. And I've become a real fan of static tip 'curves.

Love the wood combination! Steve makes great bows. I have one of his older static tipped recurves and it is outstanding. You will love this bow! Congrats.

pamike, it's as quiet as a recurve can be. I shot it without silencers when I first got it, just heard and felt a little buzzzz at the shot. Didn't have any silencers laying around so I took the spider ones from my BW bow (not very good silencers IMO) and put them on for grins. Viola!
They did the trick, can't hear or feel the buzz anymore. I've found static tips to be quieter - not to mention faster.

KIrk just tested a Storm Eagle for me . 9gpp arrow pulled 28 inches on the Hooter shooter got 202 fps average for three shots. Nice thing is that every shot was exactly the same. That means that most inconsistancy will be in the shooter and not in the bow; In my case considerable inconsistancy. LOL
Point is that these are really fast bows that will shoot with any bow made. They are quiet, accurate and fast and its just hard to get more out of a bow than that.

God bless you all, Steve

Steve bows are great I'm really happy with mine.  His are the only ones I have left(besides the ones I build   :D   ).    As far as speed I'm getting numbers out of his double carbon longbow that will rival any of the known fastest longbows, and I've owned most and put them thru my chrono  But his for me are easier to shoot and are tamer in the hand

Love my EagleWing double carbon longbow with yew cores.  Accurate, very fast, and so smooth.   :notworthy:

Thanks so much guys. One thing that got passed here is that this bow is foam core limbs and glass, no carbon . Yet when I shot it I got the distinct feel of more speed than the carbon. But chronograph only will tell the truth about that. I know it is a real smoking hot bow though.

The other thing is that I just could not stand the look of the foam core with this combination of woods so I painted it black. When you look at thesides of the limbs on this particular bow they are black. It is really kind of a neat look that goes particularly well with the woods and overall apperarnce of the bow.

Oh yea. Got pretty wood; In fact I have a whole bunch of real wild zebra. I have the sister to this bow cut out but not glued up. Just interchange the woods and you got it.
I have a 40 lb in stock. 40 at 28 and a 55 with phenolic riser.; I think the 55 is sold though. Its definately spoken for at this time; the 40 would pull about 45 lb at 30 inches . Its a 56 in with carbon, foam core limbs; Maccassar and rosewood riser; I have not finished it cause I think I might put a nice set of diamondbacks on her that I just got in.
God blesss you all. Steve

I have a policy of saying 6 months. I have never been later than 4 months from deposit to delivery except for super fancy bows with lots of carving checkering snakes ect.
The extra time is just in case of sickness or getting hurt in the shop ect.
I don't really have a wait list but cut off orders when I get to a point where I do not think I can make the bows in a timely fashion. When I get some finished and delivered then I open up to more orders.

God bless, Steve
