Title: plunger tuning question
Post by: ursusmajor on March 18, 2013, 03:26:00 PM
I am left handed and my arrows kick to the left. Do I compress or loosen the spring?

google "Tuning for Tens", it is a good guide for plunger tuning.

X2 on Tuning for Tens if you want to use a plunger.  I was not satisfied using a plunger and just recently removed it from my metal ILF bow.

Thanks guys I'll check it out. I don't know what to think bout the plunger??  Its worked good so far.  It does seem as tho it could easily break when I don't want/need it to. It definately seems like a weak point on a hunting rig.

That would indicate a stiff arrow so I don't know if the plunger is going to correct that. I'd correct the arrow first by increasing point weight or going to a longer arrow and adjusting the plunger in and out to get good flight. Most people then use the spring to dial the point of impact in. Tighten to move arrow left and weaken to move arrow right.
