Title: Air brush on crown
Post by: Andy Cooper on March 17, 2013, 07:14:00 PM
How hard is it to fade to a different color on the crown of an arrow using an air brush? I'm thinking about getting one, but wanted to get some input and advice first.

Thanks!

It's not that hard at all Andy, just tape off the areas that you don't want air brushed and you can put your cresting in that area.

Can be done with a simple rattle can and a steady hand too...

Rick, what kind of paint are you spraying out of your airbrush?

They make an actual airbrush paint, but you can thin down craft paint as well.

I've done the same thing with a rattle can as well, but I think an airbrush would give you much better control and results.
