Title: Traditional Archery events
Post by: Frosty the Bowman on March 17, 2013, 05:35:00 PM
Hello, I could use your help please.

I am trying to put together my final assignment for a business class at college, and need some help as I am a newbie and do not have all the answers.

I am wondering what are the big Traditional Archery evnets that occur every year, when are they held, where, and roughly how many people attend these events?

This is for a marketing/business class and I ahve to be as detailed as possible to boost my grade.

Also, what are some of your favorite Traditioanl Archery Magazines and sites you enjoy.

Thanks guys, I really appriciate your help.

As far as I know the largest in US is at Couderesport Pa last week in July. 9 courses with about 200+ targets. Maybe 200 vendors.  Also know as Denton Hill. Several thousand attend.

Frosty - Check out this link.  There's a phone # at the top which might be to the guy that runs ETAR (aka Denton Hill), the biggest trad archery event in the world.  It's been going strong for over 20 years and I'm sure he could give you some good info on how it got stated and all the things that go into planning such an event.
