I recently got a package from Matt Gundock(Magnus) of Turkey Flight Traditional, an associate sponsor here. It contained one arrow made from Hill Cane for me to try on my longbow! It is 600+ grains, and has sinew wrapping at feathers and selfnock. It is almost too nice to shoot....but I took it out, and it flies great from my bamboo backed osage longbow that Charlie Jefferson(stringstretcher) made for me!
It will get a zwickey broadhead on it and will be the arrow in my solo stalker quiver this fall when I hit the deer woods. In fact, it may not wait that long and end up with me for spring gobbler season this year!
Big thanks to Matt...unbelievable gesture!

I think it looks like it was made for my longbow from Stringstretcher!

I think I'm going to like this river cane more than the poplar I am shooting now!

Looks like a great set up to me. Nice shooting too Lee.
dang thats nice  :clapper:
A lot of cane on the sight lately! Ha Ha... I like it!
I just shot my first 3D shoot with bamboo arrows today. I am NOT a wood arrow guy and never shoot them off my recurve or longbow. I am VERY impressed with these bamboo arrows off of my selfbow. I have a dream to shoot a critter with my selfbow and a stone point one of these days. Now that I have found these boo arrows, I am one step closer to making that dream a reality.

River Cane....the Origional Carbon!

Cane is fun to work with and shoot! Bamboo is too. Hill cane is my favorite but its all good. Just something about turning a kinked up piece of cane and turning it into a straight flying arrow is pretty darn cool!
