Picked one of these at Denton and really shoot it well.I'm looking 4 one or simular too in heavier poundage (65/70).Any directions to get this or type of longbow fill me in.
Thanks
The best I know, Fritz is no longer making these. I will keep my eye open.
I've got a Frtiz Johnk Squire -- awesome. A very nice bow.
I was looking for another, too -- somewhat longer that the 60" I've got.
I've tried to research these bows and haven't learned very much. Any leads?
Thanks.
I've got a Fritz yeoman.....60@30....may be willing to part with or trade........
Fritz stopped building bows about 6 years ago or so.Its unfortanate. He built a fine bow.His main bow was his mild R and D from 60 to 68 inches, narrow limb, deep core with a trapazoid cross section.real pretty bows.Super grip.He used automotive clear coat on the finish. The Yoeman was a shorter brush bow with a forward set handle and narrow limbs. He built a few recurves as well. You might see one once in awhile for sale. They were a popular bow when he built them.I cut my teeth on those bows and owned 5 of them.I really enjoyed shooting them alot!
He had 2 models in his classic longbow design. The Baron and the Regeant.Which was more fancy with inlayed diamond shaped pieces of wood in the limbs.Three to a limb on the back. His bows are some of the most elegant 1s i have seen to date and have a sleek look to them.Good luck in your seach Overbo.i will let you know if i see something available.Congrats on scoring a fine bow.PM me if you got any ?s
I think I remember hearing that he stopped making bows because he was developing health problems from all the dust and chemicals associated with it.

The bow I got is a Baron built as Steelhead discribed.I've seen a JD Berry and Zipstik by Zipper built the same way.Is there other bowyers making longbows w/ that type of trapped limbs w/ narrow tips?
Berry bows are about identical in looks and design.Main difference is the grip.Great Northern critter gitter is very similar.Real narrow limbs, deep core,Trapped limbs.Mild R and D.D shaped when strung.I like the critter getter.Dwyer classic longbow as well. Not trapped as much though.Liberty contender is real sweet.A tad wider though.Slightly trapped in the opposite direction.belly to back vs back to belly on the Frederick. Not trapped at as much of an angle though, very slightly.Thier are others as well.I like those 3 mentioned above
I have a 56" Yeoman that draws 59Lbs @28" and it is a sweet shooter. May have to sell to make room for three new bows that I bought. My wife thinks that I have too many bows! I ask you how can you have too many bows?
